I snapped that thing up, for the grand total of... $1.00 There was very little clouding and no scratches. It was a nice find.
I picked my foil Equilibrium up for about $10 about 4 years ago. It's in nm condition and has been sleeved and in a top loader for years... I need to get it graded!

Rudy is correct. Birds of Paradise for instance. Reprinted a billion times, many different version. 7th Ed foil is EXTREMELY expensive and only going up, regardless of all the reprints sense 7th.

If you ever done a sealed or draft with the 7th edition it probably feels now quite boring but at that time , pulling a serra angel or shivan dragon was joy. Can you make a video on grading??? I’ve noticed a lot of shops and sellers grade cards with clouding/spots as near mint... it’s hard to find honest sellers!
I wish I had purchased more foils back then. I bought that card partly because I loved the art of Birds of Paradise, but I had put 2 and 2 together, about the unique art, only versions in black border, old card frame. 7th foils really are a perfect storm of unique.

I would think most Simplified Chinese cards would be in China. China basically has its own internet. Hunting down these cards online should be more difficult. That said, how popular was Magic in China in 2001?

Kinda neat story. I sold all my cards to Rudy last year and there's a video about it also. Collection included a lot of foils as I collected old ones. I didn't usually have many foreign foils but I happened to have 1 Equilibrium 7th foil simplified chinese and 1 Final Fortune 7th foil simplified chinese. Had no choice but to give em as freebies pretty much as foreign card prices are crushed in the us/rudy market. Still think they are too much undervalued in most cases.

I am currently building sets of every set in the old frames. I think they are very pretty. More times than not the art is better than the current ones. And they represent a better time in magic for me.

I always wanted a foil 7th ed Coat of Arms, easily one of the most beautiful cards in the set and the best looking Coat of Arms period.
