I am reading a History of the Royal Navy, specifically the encounters between British and French war ships at the late 1770's and I needed this to mentally set in the period.
Hey Ex Angel Marcus…you better start believing in Jesus because he just saved your in worthy ass from getting fing tortured while the rest of us teulfuhundens laughed at your mfing ass!!!!
This is exactly what I was looking for. I’m reading Patrick O’Brian’s Master and Commander and just reached the part of the first engagement so this is a great tool to help immerse myself and let my imagination off the leash.
I remember my first Naval Action fleet battle. It was fucking insane with the amount of cannons blasting. Endless barrages for 30 minutes with my side being victorious in the end against the Spanish.
I am just writing to make a podcast about the Naval Combat of the Maracaibo Lake in Venezuela, that sealed our independency from Spain, and im listening to this while I prepare it, it gave me chills. Nice work
This was exactly the kind of audience I was hoping for. I came up with the concept when reading a biography of Nelson, haha. Good luck with your podcast, let me know when it's up because I would be interested to hear that.
Imagine If You Are Being Dutch Sailor Or A Spanish Sailor In Manila Bay During The Battle Of The De La Naval Manila While Watching The Naval Battle Which The Dutch Navy And The Spanish Navy Fought Against Each Other
The sounds aren't bad, I'm not sure about the long gaps in it (perhaps reload times or ships maneuvering around) but as an overall review I think it could use a little bit of ambient *people* noise, or the sound of the cannons reloading as and the gun crews moving them in and out and shouting to each other, because right now it just sounds like a bunch of detached sound effects.
Fantastic! Going to listen to this later while I work on my Royal Navy v. Kriegsmarine research project on Operation Sealion. I'm on the subtopic of English naval doctrine at the moment tracing back its roots leading into the First Anglo-Dutch War. Wish I would have done the same for my other paper on Imperial Russia's 2nd Pacific Squadron voyage to the Far East.
I want the equivallent of 4k speakers/headphones please! this is fucking AWWWWWWWWWESOME dude! oooh yeah baby! I love the way it creshendos, and how there's a moment of silence as they realight before they go at each other again. HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make sure you put in the description that this was taken from Naval Action sounds. That game has great audio and combat but the actual game world itself is lacking.
mate try listening to Britannia Rule the Waves while listening to this at the same time... it makes you want to die in the ocean for some British chaps
Esto es como imaginar el rugir del "Santisima Trinidad" o algún asedio de los piratas ingleses en la America Virreinal. No olviden por qué la mitad del mundo habla Español🇪🇦
Slept like a sailor who didn’t get the splinter out in time
May you dream of soft hard tack and biscuits without weebles
And endless pints of undiluted rum.
@@jamesdeaton267 It's weevils. And you must choose the lesser of the two.

What book, if I may?

WHAT WILL WE DO WITH THE DRUNKEN SAILOR?!!!
@@tunneler9967 WHAT WILL WE DO WITH A DRUNKEN SAILOR!?
it makes it even more realistic ahah
Nothing like a ship with tall masts and majestic white sails crossing the seas on a clear sunny day
listening to this and imagining such beasts clash on the waves of the seas is truly majestic
This is exactly what I was looking for. I’m reading Patrick O’Brian’s Master and Commander and just reached the part of the first engagement so this is a great tool to help immerse myself and let my imagination off the leash.
I can recognize Naval Action sounds anywhere, good on you.

Manila
While Watching The Naval Battle Which The Dutch Navy And The Spanish Navy Fought Against Each Other
If a ship of the line battle took place near a coast line, observers said it sounded like a fierce thunderstorm...
The crackle of the cannons is so satisfying
The sounds aren't bad, I'm not sure about the long gaps in it (perhaps reload times or ships maneuvering around) but as an overall review I think it could use a little bit of ambient *people* noise, or the sound of the cannons reloading as and the gun crews moving them in and out and shouting to each other, because right now it just sounds like a bunch of detached sound effects.
Didnt listen to the whole thing but imma pretty sure the reload times could reach up to 8 minutes so yeah
imagine hearing a full broadside.. that would be terrifying
Hey... where is the drummer to Beat to Quarters?

This is fantastic! Not sure when I'm going to use it, probably for when writing videos set around this time :) Thanks for making it!
Admiral Nelson ordering me to fire the cannon at the oncoming Franco Spanish Ship but I’m studying for my final exam.
As much as i love this, i just dont like how it cuts out so much. But i still slept like a sailor with a belly full of hardtack and rum
bro thats what it sounded like, they have to stop and float plus reload
Aye, Just what I need. Plus could be good DnD ambiance
I finally figured out naval combat in ntw im so happy :D
