  • In this video we leave a small village in Italy and cross to Switzerland to go into Lugano where I replace my clutch lever in the local Motorrad dealership. They were brilliant by the way, they checked the breaks and only charged for the part replacement.
After this I take one of the nicest twisty roads of the trip, I met 2 German riders on R1000R's there and we had a good chat about bikes and travel in general.
I headed then to the Simplon Pass where I found a Ferrari owners meet of some kind, there were a lot of Ferrari's make sure you check it out, and then descending the Simplon, through Sion and into the Valley that leads to Martigny where I stayed in one of the nicest hotels of the trip.

@@RidingCorners well those roads ,that still exist ,are one or two days ride away on a four lane highway or are dirt or gravel 😭. Fun roads are deemed unsafe and have been straightened for public safety ! Thought about getting a 360 camera though and doing a compilation of a bunch small short roads that are still left one to two hours from my house ! What is the one you use ?

@@vancemarin8022 I was using the GoPro but I recently bought the Insta360 and despite only having used it once and still learning I would recommend the Insta360. You should Vance, I look forward to seeing some videos of yours. I’m sure you will find some nice roads…

Stunning stuff indeed. Having visited that part of Europe I only got to either drive over those sorts of roads or ride short distances on them on my son's mountian bike. You are indeed fortunate, our roads here in Western Australia are long and straight, (one straight is 140 km long, no bends), and nowhere near as scenic as you have in Europe. I will tantalise myself by watching more of your videos.

Thank you so much for the kind comment John, Australia may have straight roads but it also has an amazing coastline and the weather to boot… you can’t have it all my friend. ;) Thanks again and hope you enjoy the rest of the series.

The road out of Lugano could be your signature video considering your TH-cam name. What a road, I think it would take me most of the day to ride it as there are so many photo oppurtunities, I would be stopping frequently. Just as well those Ferraris weren't going in your direction. Would have been hell trying to overtake dozens of them.

Jeff that was one of the biggest issue… not stop at every 5 minutes. Haha yes they were conveniently lined up in the opposite direction. What a stunning part of the world. I’m not sure if you’ve watched the first Lake Como video Jeff but if you haven’t check it out… there were bits there where I literally stopped at each 5 mins or less.
