I remember listening to this album in my car while I was leaving home for the first time after college graduation, moving eight hours away. I was feeling a lot of different things that day, and that song made me cry so much. It's funny going back and watching this so many years later and remembering that.

I can't express how much I admire the choice to put the actors in place where the orchestra goes. I've never seen In The Heights but these recordings do serious justice and I'm gonna have to look into it :D

I was lucky enough to see this on Broadway with the original cast. One of my all time favorite shows. The energy was amazing. I had a feeling after seeing it that Lin was going to be a huge star.

lin-manual miranda is bsolutely amazing and i was blessed to have seen him perform in LA. i can't imagine this production without him. and such strong women in the cast!!! this production just made me so proud. and i'm not even latina! maybe it's because i'm second generation and i connected so well with the plight and stories of this community. bravo to everyone in this production. a well-deserved tony. EVERYONE NEEDS to see this show.
The last song always gives me chills. My high school is doing this show and auditions are Monday! So excited, I've always wanted to be apart of this show and now I have a chance, (I'm on my mom's profile, I am 16)

One of my dream roles for ANY production of In The Heights is to play Usnavi. And i hope that some day that'll come true.
Me too I'm fully Filipino but I am also of Hispanic Descent because my Grandma is fully Filipino but she's also of Hispanic Descent. Lin brought In The Heights to Manila Philippines in 2012 and that was the first time there was ever a full on In The Heights Filipino Cast. I also want to someday play the role of Hamilton. Both roles mean a lot to me

last school year, my musical director gave me a cd of In The Heights & i instantly fell in love with the story that it told. it makes me feel like i've come home or like i'm really going to do something really big and real in the world. i only dream to be able to work with Lin Manuel Miranda because he's created a piece of real art and real magic that you can only hear on your iPod or see on Broadway. i'm only 16, and for me to be this passionate about this is amazing. In The Heights is amazing.

I adore Lin Manuel Miranda, my goodness! I'd like to thank his parents for raising him. He is such a gift to mankind. Mom and Dad, thank you! You did a fantastic job of raising such a gifted person! The entire cast is outstanding (as well as the whole musical production! The orchestra, the chorus singers, the dancers... the whole shebang!), and the movie version is just as good as this one. Cheers!

It's incredible how these guys rock the studio. They didn't produce music - they ARE music, life and the story. I would buy hundreds of DVDs just with those behind the scenes recordings because every single second is so authentic. Thank you for the treasures you share with us!
