I think the music from the 80s is awesome because a lot of new technology was coming out and musicians were experimenting with it. We got to be the guinea pigs for revolutionary music in all genres. 😊

@@Okaysunday That existed in the eighties too. 😃 In fact it was the first decade that stuff really appeared in. Some eighties music was mucking around with (then) novel sound effects.

I live in Nebraska, and the channels that plays 80s music have never played this song. What a shame.
They tend to have limited playlists. These 80s stations rarely play things like the Jam, the Associates or Iron Maiden either, even though these bands were big at the time.
Call or write the station and ask them to play it if they her album on vinyl, CD or cassette, it's on there.

Saw Kim for the 2nd time in 2 years last week. She still sounds as good as the records. Her band are tight and always look like they're having a great time!

Yes, we in GenX had cool music, and individuals who were famous. I had Kim Wilde's music on Cassette and then CD and still know her songs by heart❤️.
Most of us has pretty cool clothes and modest hair that enhanced our looks. I loved the cute ankle socks and lovely jeans and pants patterns we had. You could look feminine it was OK. Not many people had tattoos, your hair and clothes and t shirts expressed the "you" that you wanted to project. Feeling anti-social? Wear a "Bite Me" t-shirt. Fingerless gloves cool but also a tip of the hat to the working, especially Britain's open market pitch store operators. They originated those gloves to keep most of their hands warm while allowing their fingers freedom to collect money and make change. Plenty of people dressed "androgenous" back then. Guys and Gals who just didn't want to be classified or labeled.

@@thursoberwick1948 Of course it is, it's just it pales in comparison with her 80s stuff rather badly, but that was the horribly changing market for you, and it was all about sappy soul crap from most women and as she has the worst taste in music (always praising the worst people and songs generally, though thankfully it never shows in her songs, also generally), this was always going to happen. Be fair, she blasted through the 80s with amazing songs and albums all over the place, but by the 90s love songs and too much guitar and soppy soul head generally replaced all those multi-angled synth-driven, lyrical belters from the 80s. Yet she STILL sounds better than anyone else generally. So her 'slides' are better than most anyone else's so-called highs!
