"Old McDonald had a siding..."...lol you are certainly forgiven for the slip Danny. I'm curious how that Expedition has held up as a chase vehicle all these years...
The old Expedition is actually doing great. The paint has given out and as well as the front seats so I'm now caught between spending two grand on a fix up or buying something new. My only real complaint is the 14 MPG. :-))
Danny, thanks for all your videos. I really enjoy them. This one in particular is interesting to me. Many years ago, I had a chance to see Engine #33 (about 5:30 into this video) in East Tennessee. They were stopped on a siding. I met the crew, they allowed me to walk around the engine, and gave me a tour in the cab. Best of all, I got a ride in the cab while they moved the train a little farther down the track. I have always wondered if I would see that engine in someone's video, and today I did. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing another fantastic production. While I am at work, I often wonder what the Terminal looked like "back in the day." It is sad to see the historic structures disappear. I have witnessed many changes in the 12 years that I have been there, and I am sure that there will be many more before I leave. Your videos will help preserve the memory of todays treasures as time continues marching forward.
Yeah, that's how I feel, David. I only wish I would have been shooting video in the 90's. Went out so many times without a camera of any kind. Thanks very much. DH
I gotta get around to getting the circus train...maybe this year. Neat to see the mix of new and old (track and signals) seen in the central part of Florida. Another very enjoyable production; looking forward to the next adventure.
Pretty sure this is the first video of yours that I saw years ago, and have enjoyed every one of them since. Still making me dream of a railfanning trip to Sunshine State someday. ;)
Another Great Video Danny! My dorm is about 3/4mi from the FEC main in Boca so one of the many horns I hear at night was probably me missing the circus train. I should really invest in a radio! Someone should try to pick up at least one of those signals in Lakeland. Maybe put it on display in Plant City?
Danny I envy your 70 degree weather in January. We're lucky right now in Montreal, +5 celcius was the high today while we experience near-absolute 0 a couple of weeks back. Interesting winter so far... I need to get out railfanning!
Danny check you out every day thanks. FYI I live in Bettendorf Ia. Cross the Miss. River from the Silvia yard, My son was out there and said that it looks like miles of engines to be over hauled
Hi Dave here I want to thank you for posting these videos I have enjoyed them I love freight trains please keep posting any SP footage thanks Dave in oregon
Grate video Danny I am going out to florida for holiday round october time so looking forward to seeing an american train just to see how much bigger they are than what we have in England
Oh OK. Thanks. I was living in Orlando in the early 80's when all the ripping up began and before Florida Central. At least I can say I saw u18b's in Apopka among other things. Orange and Seminole counties had no vision for the future during all of this...which is why I get sick when I visit Orlando, not to mention pink LYNX buses! I'll have to buy the ACLSCL dvd.
I came through the area riding Amtrak P091 on January 7th and noticed a Circus Train in one of the yards between Auburndale and Kissimmee. Was that the "Blue Unit" train and this one was the "Red Unit" train? CSX 4300 must of gone to Miami as I witnessed him switching along State Road 84 in Fort Lauderdale on the night of January 8th as they ducked into a siding to allow Q453-07 to pass around 10pm and Q452-08 came through an hour later. Also, when I was up north a few days prior, I chased the Amtrak Auto Train and observed the online industries and yards in the Sanford area. What does CSX operate on the Sanford Sub?
Thats interesting that they put all that money into the Auburndale connection from the Orlando side. Makes me wonder what they have planned trainwise for Orlando if anything.
those 70 degree temperatures sure are better than this crap cold up here in nc standing out there waiting for trains makes me feel like imma get frostbite or freeze to death!
At 6:12, I hate you! :) LOL I guess all the cold & snow gives video opportunities. Great job and nice transitions! Back when old McDonald had a farm, steam RULED!

Another first class video Danny!. Love your knowledge of the train destinations and upgrades !.
Cheers Gregg

Another fine video, hope your Expedition keeps rolling, thanks Danny
I appreciate your film and your commentary
Thanks

Thanks Michael. I enjoy doing it.
Excellent video, Danny! :)
Great stuff as usual, Danny. If you'll notice, Q453's leader, 7929, was the trailing unit on the lite run of Q235 earlier in the morning :)
Another great video Mr.H.!Thanks!
Many thanks!

Awesome video, Danny. Nice shot from the N Side of the overpass.
Yeah that was a bit of a hike, but worth it on such a nice day.

Yet another great video, Danny. Thanks for sharing!
Great job! Thanks!

Also, nice catch on the 4300 that was added on to the Q453; one of only a handful of former Reading GP39-2's left on the roster.
You do an awesome job Danny! Mike
Great vid Danny, thank you.
Great vid as always Mr Harmond.
I happened to catch the circus train yesterday as it moved through Maitland around 5pm, heading north.
Awesome video, Danny!

Yeah I had to enjoy it while it lasted. We're getting remnants of your Canadian air this week. Rainy today and 39 here by Thursday.
Well we'll be getting colder again soon enough, but this weather is welcome as long as possible.
Great catches as always Danny!
Thanks very much. Glad you enjoyed it.

That's awesome! October is the perfect time of year in Florida. You'll love the railroading here.
Great video Danny!!
Dave
we have like 4 or 5 - 4 aspect signals in our yard, its weird when they are clear "top and bottom"
Great video Danny
Great Video Danny!
Great Video! I would love to see a documentary on the Edgar Spur operation near the town of Hawthorne, on the Wildwood Sub.
I don't know if I could do a whole show on the Edgar spur. There's just one job working that mine out there,. right? What days do they work?
Why are the locomotives usually back to back, or faced in the opposite directions from each other, what's the purpose?
Nice catch, Danny! :)
GREAT VIDEO DANNY
Wow one Sub name after another. I almost gone crazy lol. Great video Danny!
@5:30...R170 Taft to Jacksonville via Lakeland?? That's a roundabout way.
wicky201 It is a roundabout way but that's the only route CSX has now that they've sold off the middle chuck of the A-Line.

That was the blue train that had just gotten there from Tampa. This one left Orlando on the 5th and went to Miami.
Distant Signal
Did I spy one of CSX's few GP60s on Q613?
Can I get some info on that intermodal logistics center? I'm a logistics major and currently looking for possible internships or jobs
Thats interesting that they put all that money into the Auburndale connection from the Orlando side. Makes me wonder what they have planned trainwise for Orlando if anything.
The Silver Meteors use that connection plus I think there will be some increased Miami - Orlando traffic in the future. Jast a guess.
0:03 it looks like a storm building up there
It looked like Q453 had an old Rock Island car mixed in there :)
Yeah. You still see a few of those around here occasionally.
It must be nice to see those old names hanging around.
Great Video
How often does R-170 run?
There's no more R-170. Only i177 & i178 left.
@distantsignal Thanks.
How come CSX doesn't take the circus train all the way
those 70 degree temperatures sure are better than this crap cold up here in nc standing out there waiting for trains makes me feel like imma get frostbite or freeze to death!
1:37 LOL. We'll do it live!!!
Ha!! An O'Reilly fan.
Nice sd70 new logo
the area's that you railfan are way different then up here in British Columbia
Yes, it's pretty flat here in Florida. Plus our weather is a little warmer. :-))

This has nothing to do with this video but I was just watching the documentary of Southern Rail 4501 and the narrator sounds just like you.
i wish i could go back and live when the steam engines owned the lines
