    This track in the late eighties introduced me to the heroics of the sage. My dad played the song back then and I'm so happy to stumble on it today. I understand the lyrics now and better than my 7, 8, 9 year old then. May God grant Olanrewaju Adepoju eternal rest.

      The other side of this record was titled "NIBO LA NLO" in which Baba Lanrewaju Adepoju asked Gen. Ibrahim Babangida where are we going ? He said that the standard of living is not good for the Nigerians and the hardship is too much, he said and I quote " NAIRA MERIN OTOOTO NI A FI NRA DOLLAR KAN OYINBO " i.e One dollar ($1 00) was exchanged for Four Naira (N4:00) then in 1987. Where are we now? One dollar is now almost one thousand, five hundred Naira. Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and his accomplices planted the seeds of discord in Nigeria. Everyone will be rewarded according to their roles. May Almighty Allah answer the prayers of the masses and let each regions move slightly apart 🙏

      May Almighty Allah forgive Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief Lanrewaju Adepoju shortcomings and granted them eternal rest in janatu firdaous. Ki a to ri erin o di igbo, ki a to ri efon, o di odan, eiye ti yo se bi adan kosi, ayafi eyiti eje yo ti enu re jade, kosi igi bi obi ninu igbo, eyiti o fe se bi obi, o ya abidun. Another of Baba's evergreen tracks, with deep words and rich musical repertoire. Rest on, our revered and unrivalled Titan and King of Yoruba metaphysical poetry (Ewi). Your legacy will live-on forever. We shall do our best to ensure that happens. May Allah grant you Aljanat Firdaus.

    Another politician that has his ideology is Peter Obi because Awolowo knew the solution to Nigeria problems,So also Peter Obi

    • @ultimateone
      @ultimateone ปีที่แล้ว

      Peter Obi ke? That is 1000% a lie. Peter Obi is nothing but a slimy liar and a religious bigot who will say anything to get votes from unenlightened and easily trusting voters. Him and Papa Awolowo are like oranges and Bitter Kola. In other words, they are NOTHING like each other. Please ask yourself what Obi did for his people when he was governor of his home state, Anambra? Very little is the answer apart from claiming to be prudent when governance isn't all about saving money. The records are there to prove he did very little; independently verified by the current Governor Soludo, former Governors etc of the state. Please don't be deceived by Obi and his ethnic agenda.

      Obi ko, Emeka ni...lol. This obidiot syndrome is a very infectious ideology based on lack of the knowledge of Nigerian history.

      Awo is on his own. Don't ever compare Obi with Awo. It is a mismatch. In fact, Awo stands on his own and no living nigerian came closer to his standing

      This must be the dumbest comment I have read on social media in my years on earth. Please, who is Peter Obi? We should stop insulting yoruba ancestors please.
