You'll find a lot of P-50s in the American Midwest, particularly in Illinois or Wisconsin. P-50s are a completely different experience, theyre loud as hell to say the least. An STL-10 is pretty cool as well.
@@budgie508 covering your ears is a good idea (depending on which distance you're at from the siren) but certified hearing protection headsets are a requirement when seeing a siren this size. Even then, they are still EXTREMELY loud. Always bring some sort of hearing protection for you and whoever else is present (ear plugs won't do the trick alone. Or covering your ears) when you're going to see a siren, big or small.
@@ProspectElevators thats a shame. This virus is really getting bad, so I don't blame you, good thing your family is being careful. Stay safe out there
For those that want to skip the ambience, siren starts at 0:50
i remember coming there to see the p50 getting tested
You've seen this P-50 in person before?
@@thespiritstingray9359 of corse but i think when i was 9 or 8
Awesome Video! Sounds Real Punchy!
It was very punchy, it can easily be heard from 3 miles away (I've heard it in past tests)
@@thespiritstingray9359 Cool
Damn. I wish i would see a P-50 siren. But i live in a place where i only see an STL-10.

@@thespiritstingray9359 I'd cover my ears if i were close to a P-50 sounding off. Because it'd kill my darn ears.

@@thespiritstingray9359 unfortunately, that STL-10 is inactive, guess that's because there's not really any purpose for it.
