I remember as a 13 year old in '67 watching his summer crusades. Then one evening when he gave an invitation to accept Jesus - I did. From that point on, I can see his hand on me even when I suffered a stroke just as I returned stateside from serving in Iraq with the Army. As I laid in the ambulance, I asked God what could I learn from this experience to help the next guy. I heard "Nothing more will happen to you." Then the driver asked my attendant "Slow or fast?" The attendant replied "Slow. I think we're good." THAT was my conformation! I have no debilitating effects from my stroke. Praise God!

@@joebiggs4387Billy was truly one of the greatest men of God. Through one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, some people, including me, are able to DISCERN that (1 Corinthians 12:7-10)
Jesus Christ does not dispute being rich. In the verse you are referencing I believe Jesus meant that it is hard for most rich people to enter the kingdom of God as most idolize their worldly richness thereby struggling to prioritize, love, honor and serve God wholeheartedly. I believe He meant that rich people set their identity anf hearts on their worldly richness instead of striving to have a personal relationship with God as we ought to.
God says we should take care of the needs of the poor at various levels. And we won't be able to do that in lack.
In conclusion. I believe God can bless you financially. However, your finances ought not be your God. When you prioritize your call. God will instruct you on how to be a blessing to others with your finances. All for His Glory. 🙏🏽
I hope this changes your perspective on being rich. Better yet. Inquire with the Lord on the matter. I know for a fact that God through His Holy Holy will give you a response when you seek Him wholeheartedly on the matter

@@TheBlueCream ..........The wages of sin may be death but the gift of God is eternal life to all who trust in His substitutionary death and glorious resurrection. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. His life, imputed within, is one of the many things that takes place in the life of a Christian the moment he trusts in Christ as Saviour. He is taken out of Adam and placed IN Christ. What an incredible contrast there is between the first earthly man - Adam and the second heavenly Man - the Lord Jesus Christ.
All that are born IN Adam are dead in their trespasses and sin, estranged from God and without hope in the world. But in His grace God sent His only begotten Son as the one and only sin-substitute for the entire race of fallen humanity. Those who believe in Him are redeemed, they are not condemned and are eternally positioned in Christ - but those who do NOT believe in the only begotten Son of the Father, are condemned already. .......................🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

My mother told me one time while standing to get off the plane in New Orleans which is where we lived, she noticed a very tall man with the bluest eyes she had ever seen standing behind us staring down at me. She realized it was Billy Graham and said hello to him. He put his hand on my head and said a prayer over me right there on the plane standing in the aisle waiting to get off. So here’s a story I got from another fellow TH-cam commenter, I’m not going to disclose their name, but I thought it might give a different perspective:
“When I was a young boy, Billy Graham had a
religious advice column. He gave a woman a piece of advice that I will Never forgive him for.
It was from a woman whose husband regularly beat her. He had been beating her for decades, and she was at the end of her rope.
She said that she didn't know how she could go on living, that she had lost hope of her husband being less violent towards her, and that she had prayed for years without any help from God.
She asked Billy Graham what she should do.
Did Billy Graham tell her to go to the police? Did he suggest she go to a woman's shelter?
No. He told her that she should endure, and
continue to pray for her husband, as a supportive
      Christian wife should.
That was his advice to this poor Christian who made the mistake of writing to him.
I always wished that I could have somehow written to her and told her not to listen to this idiot's advice, and to escape immediately.
I'm sure she continued to make a fine punching bag for her husband, until she died of abuse or until he died, forever unpunished.
Without God ever intervening to help her. Or Billy
Graham convincing her to escape her lifelong hell.
That is how Billy Graham deserves to be remembered. With utter contempt at his inhuman
      hypocrisy.”

You would never see such a balanced, calm interview now.
The video of the message brought in Korea is deeply moving.
Anyone with half a heart will choke back tears.
So many people hungry to hear a clear, unfiltered, undiluted message of love.
Nobody has time for that in America anymore.
The fact that Johnny gives Billy a moment to calmly explain the gospel, heaven and even hell without any serious interruption right there on the show tells all.
Factually, 99% of church-goers are more or less just like Billy Graham - relatively calm, patient and seeking to bring a message of hope.
But look as we may, we will not find such a fairly-broadcasted presentation of the Judeo-Christian worldview in our day, where Christians are depicted as axe-murderers.
Times have truly changed. And to think this was only just in 1973.

Carson was a major financial supporter over the years of the James Randi Educational Foundation and regularly featured skeptic James Randi, who exposed several televangelists on the show. Randi treasures a letter from Carson in which he quoted the philosopher Francis Bacon's admonition that "a credulous man is a deceiver." Quiet and reclusive in his private life, he preferred to avoid public events and interviews but occasionally engaged in them. "In my living room I would argue for liberalization of abortion laws, divorce laws, and there are times when I would like to express a view on the air. I would love to have taken on Billy Graham. But I'm on TV five nights a week; I have nothing to gain by it and everything to lose." (Life magazine, Jan. 23, 1970.)

When we lost him on earth..we lost a lot of morality in America.
His son, Franklin and his ministry, Samaritan's Purse, does SO MUCH in America and around the world to help during crisis and you NEVER, NEVER heard about his work on liberal news.

I like how the older talk shows had people on who weren’t actors or singers. Nowadays, most talk shows wouldn’t have someone like Billy Graham on.

Today we have political correctness & we are losing our religious freedom. If a person is Islamic they have some religious freedom. If a person is a Christian they have very little if any religious freedom.
