The city acknowledges in the suit that they know Glock doesn’t produce the switches.. their argument is that Glock makes their pistols too easily converted using that piece?? Some dumb shit like that

Simple question. If someone gave YOU a switch, would YOUR neighborhood be reduced to ash within a week? Why not? I don't think this issue is related to firearms whatsoever. This violence is a symptom. A cough is not an illness, but it lets you know one is present.

I'm not exactly surprised that a place colloquially known as Chiraq would sue Glock instead of, you know, actually dealing with the criminals in the first place. If they'd had any common sense they wouldn't have had these issues in the first place.

Three things
1: The switch was invented by some dude in Venezuela and Glock has never made or sold a switch.
2: The NFA does not apply to criminals because of the GCA. The NFA's registration and tax requirements would force someone to self-incriminate as a felon with a gun.
3: Glock is the #1 gun for cops, including CPD, who required all recruits to have a Glock 17 or Glock 19 in 2008.
The MN Attorney General Keith Ellison is suing Glock too for the same thing. Instead of going after those who commit crimes with guns like those thugs in his son Jeremiah's Ward (he's a City Councilman in North Minneapolis where a lot of gang violence happens) he goes after a company that isn't making auto sears. Another thing Ellison is doing is suing the car manufacturers of the most popular cars stolen in Minneapolis. Keith Ellison is a piece of work. When he was still the Minneapolis US Rep (prior to Rep Ilhan Omar) he beat up his girlfriend and was never investigated for it. He was the co-DNC Chair and was running for MN AG then. His son Jeremiah ran interference for him and made sure Minneapolis PD didn't investigate him.
My bestfriend was murdered back home, in Whiting Indiana(right over the border to Indiana, it touches Chicago), at 15. He was shot 28 times by two gangbanging teenagers, because he refused to join their gang, they came to beat him up, and he beat both of them up instead in defense. One had a Tec-9, and another had a Mac(I can't recall if 10 or 11). They didn't care about the law. Suing Glock for something it doesn't even make, and because they don't make it harder to put a sear in, is stupid

I agree with your position. That being said, when you look at existing US laws, they are readily convertible to full auto. They have a leg to stand on in court, but it’s an awful money-grab.
