  • This is from our trip to Seward, Alaska fishing with off the dock charters. We were targeting Yelloweye and black rockfish with grub tail and diamond jigs. Rockfish are one of the slowest growing fish in the ocean and can reach over a 100 years old. Yelloweye rockfish are often nicknamed alaskan goldfish!

I just left AK after a 1 year tour in Anchorage to finish my mil career and boy do I miss it. Snagged a limit of Reds in Seward and had J-Dock process it; very nice people and Seward is a cool little seaport community. Cheers to some great fishing.

Awesome fishing trip man. I just went fishing on a boat in Seward for the first time recently. The Yellow Eye Rockfish was my favorite.

I miss Alaska every single day! The couple years we got to live there will forever be cherished. Once an Alaskan (even if only for a short time), you'll always want to return! Love it. Great video. **Seward is my favorite for sure!

Looks like everyone fishing and their grandma is heading for Alaska these days. How about you get us some king crab on the record. It's the best place to do so.

I’m from pnw… Oregon to be specific. It is awesome to see you guys out here. I’m sure that you guys love it. I do want to say watching you two grill.. and have the opportunity to be in the outdoors and not do the lavish plates is really refreshing. This is what it’s like to camp and enjoy nature in pnw. Camping or glamping as you say.. is what it’s all about. Love the vids.. Keep doing what you do. Love the channel!

Alaska has a charm of it's own. I was surprised with how the mountains come straight out of the ocean. Not a beach or much of a shoreline along Alaska that I visited. When you venture into the wood's you are part of the food chain. Packing a side arm that has some kick is a good idea. Great place to visit. Hard place to live.

Awesome video! These rockfish looks just like rose fish with different colours, especially with the sharp gill plates😎
