When asked a direct question, why can't she give a straight answer. It seems all these people who testify before any committee have a habit of obfuscating. My answer to Sen. Cruz's question would have been; "I personally am very concerned....".
Come on man you have to be smarter than that. Why do you think the founding fathers created the 5th amendment? It’s to protect against self incrimination. Pleading the 5th does not mean you’re guilty though. But sometimes we say things incorrectly and it could paint us in a bad light that wasn’t intentional or accurate. That’s why they dont start talking immediately and choose what they say. Obviously most of them are scumbags but from a tactical point of view it makes sense. I wouldn’t want to be forced to speak or else and I don’t think you would either. We need to come down off these partisan talking points. Congress is not court! Both sides do the same damn thing!!
