Il fait partie de la septième scène du second acte !! "Opéra bouffe" en deux actes, inspiré d'un livret de Felice Romani d'après "Le Philtre" de Scribe c'est aussi l'un des plus célèbres du XIXe siècle !!
Bearing in mind that she is not a classical/opera singer but a popular singer, her version of una furtiva lagrima is unique and most beautiful. Do not make the mistake to compare her to the greatest opera singers of our time. Obviously Nana can't compete with them. She never tried to (due to very wise advise from a lady called Maria Callas). What she did here is, singing classical material the way she feels it, naturally with a lot of respect for the music and an elegant and lighter way to present this type of music to audiences who might come from different musical spectrums.
When she was studying at the Athens Conservatory of Music, it was discovered that one of her vocal cords was thicker than the other. It is the reason her speaking voice and her singing voice in the lower registers is often hoarse. She realized (perhaps on the advice of Callas) that she was better suited to more contemporary music. Still, she has a great love of the Classics and likes to perform and record some of them.

It's a pity that we do not have an impeccable live version of Nana's "The power of love" which she performed hundreds of times between 1987 and the early 2000's. To my knowledge "The power of love" was only captured on video twice, both in 1994. Once here in Chile and also in December 1994 in Madrid for a benefit UNICEF concert, but unfortunately back then it was cut out of the TV broadcast.
