Black River & Western 60: Springtime Steam in the Garden State

In April 2023, Black River & Western Railroad would fire up steam locomotive #60 to haul the Easter excursions to Ringoes. That day #60 would be tasked with hauling 3 coaches and a 2 Cabeese while sporting a Grand Trunk Western 6 chime. Great video! Hopefully 60 will be back soon! I heard the 1472 will take less than 4 years which is not to bad, I can only imagine the crowd that will get out to see her return. BTW NH&L 40 will be pulling the excursions next weekend hopefully you can make it out I’ll be there!

#60 got an all year extension to run all year including another charter and plenty of excursions. Btw I got this info from the engineer in the first clip Jason Feldman
