Bought your DVD several years ago and great to see you on TH-cam. A true craftsman and much respect...(and more than a little envy..:-)

David , thanks for taking the time to share with the rest of us. I have found your DVD to be the best of several I own. There are several good ones out there but yours is the one I always go back to when I need an idea for how to do something. It was really the only one I needed.

Impressed by the craftsmanship shown here, and also the large and small tools used in your videos. I think I need to order this DVD.

Very interesting to watch, but hard to see how someone can dislike a true craftsman work.......well done.

Thanks - Ha ha, there's a dislike button so people use it, It's fine. At least they are watching. I personally have never pressed the dislike button an any video.

Well as I said when I started making these videos I am doing them for fun, but actually there is quite a bit if information in the videos. I called them Vlogs and not 'how too' videos. all the best. David

    Hi David,
I bought your fantastic DVD a number of years ago. It sits on a table next to my laptop so I have it as quick reference or just to re-watch for educational entertainment.
I was utterly shocked at how I was able to use your method of gas welding panels without warping them into the next county after all those years of doing it the wrong way.
You say the market is flooded with DVDs now but I haven't seen one to compare to your style.
Practical demonstrations of how to build real world parts instead of being made with fancy/expensive equipment will win out all the time for us "normal" folks with little money for all the toys.
Keep up the vlogs. They are great. I enjoy the personal side of the productions as well. Being from "across the pond from you", I like seeing the countryside there.
As for the plannishing hammer.. please show it! Record your progress. Post it here or at least have it as a build instruction video available for a small amount of money as a download on your site.
Just as a disclaimer...I am in no way associated with David... just an admirer of his work, talent and down to earth style. ;)
    Joe

Thanks for these great videos. I also have had your DVD for probably over a year now and always enjoy watching it. I highly recommend this video to anybody who is thinking of doing metal work (make it your first choice if wondering which video to order). I'm also glad to hear your opinion on gas welding sheet metal as everyone thinks I'm outdated/crazy to prefer it over MIG,

hi Paul, the 'press' was something I knocked up quickly almost thirty years ago from some scrap metal and Iv'e been using it ever since. The pnumatic jack is a fairly recent addition. I had a lorry jack before that.

Hi paul, I employed someone and trained them after I made the DVD, this meant that there was never time to make any more. Probably the biggest mistake I ever made. Now the market is flooded with DVDs. But I have some plans for more tutorials.

That Bantam jeep? We seriously need a vehicle like that even in the 21st Century. Durable, mechanically simple and affordable to buy. Yes, there would be issues with emissions, but you can't tell me that can't be solved.
