Don't be sure about it. The problem with long term paralyzed patients is they lose after a few years most of their muskels and the bones will be very fragile due to the lack of permanent pressure from standing. So just restoring the spinal cord would be only a part of what is needed.
I would just like to say a big thank you to Unilad for becoming a top mark in real human journalism. We needed more of this, now in a postpandem world. More detailed notes to the story in particular, it’s absolutely amazing the length that the human brain is able to go to protect itself in a situation of extreme trauma. It’s so important when interacting with someone who is in a comatose or paralytic state to treat them as if they could hear and see and understand everything that you are doing. Otherwise their brain could do some really terrible things and they wake up with PTSD. Similar stories have been told by people who had Covid.

As somebody who has had a car accident around a year ago and was disabled for a month until my recovery started, I can tell you that fear is not gonna do you any good. Yes, you could die at any time, from a medical reason to a car crash reason, you even don't have to be in a car to be involved in a car accident. But people don't think about that, it's always: it can happen but not to me. However, you cannot go through this life with a fear, live every moment of it, be fearless. Regarding fear of dying, I no longer have that fear because of my NDE experience. No, it was not Snoop Dog, I didn't have any visions at all but I have been on the line, with death. It wasn't scary, it was the opposite of it. Cannot be described in words. When the time comes, it will come, and we all are gonna be where we belong to. So, I no longer fear death. When my time comes, I will be smiling for sure. So, take my advice and do not fear, life is too short for that, cherish it, live it to the fullest.
