This is a divisive topic in the Vita community. The PS Vita is know to be _underlocked_ in order to save the battery (after all, it's a portable console). So it's running bellow it's frequency capability. On the other hand, higher frequency not only uses more energy, but it also produces more heat. Is the PS Vita built to deal with this extra heating? I'm not so sure. Some people say they have been doing this for years. Others say they started seeing GPU crashes after the overclocking. In any case, at least for now I will keep the stock frequency, since I want my PS Vita to have more lifetime, not less. I will do this until there is more info about this subject.
Tried multiple times via USB. I can see my files on pc. Drag and drop as instructions... Tried file and root. Nothing shows on vita uxo, or otherwise.... Help

I think I was playing jak3 and the performance was so bad it was just about unplayable, like I’m talking sub 20 fps for extended periods. If this could fix situations like that I’d give it a go

I need some help understanding what my jailbroken Vita 2k can do. I did the whole set up got a ton of games from the pkgj app but that's it. I haven't messed with settings or ports yet
@@cfc3972 I guess that depends if the Vita is underclocked as standard. Is this mod overclocking beyond the Vita's safe operating spec, or is it just unleashing its full potential at the expense of faster battery drain? I hope someone with more knowledge can clarify...
I think you'd be fine to run it overclocked for a while. There are thermal pads in there (at least for sure on the PSTV) on both sides. It's kinda underclocked from the factory, so there's some headroom there for overclocking. That's likely why there are caps of the max MHz for the two processors in VSHPlus.

Short answer, yes. Longer answer, yes, with a caveat that your battery will drain faster and require more frequent recharges. Used smartly, overclocking is a real value add to the Vita/PSTV.

Bought a vita and instantly put 500mhz cpu and 222mhz gpu, sly cooper doubled fps. 60fps easy, 50c on GPU. You are missing out and you are not smart.

FTP lets you transfer files wirelessly. USB means u can only transfer files thru a USB cord

No, it'll just drain the battery. The Vita is very powerful but Sony wanted to prioritize the battery so they toned it down some notches.
