I love hearing how things smell to other people... to me the kayali smelled very good, i sampled it at sephora and i literally could not stop smelling myself. on me it smelled like a subtle vanilla, pistachio, warm marshmellow-y, i mean just beautiful and it lasted HOURS on me. but also when it dried down there was this light and very like powder scent that came through, chile i couldn't stop talking the scent lmao. I'm buying the big bottle for either my birthday or christmas.
Same for me!! I sprayed it once. And I hadn’t heard one review. Just was on a sephora trip. And I bought it immediately. It’s smells sooo good! But I tend to love what everyone hates. And the stuff every loves. Like BR540 or Delina I couldn’t stand.

Listen I’m soooo happy you did this comparison. I have both. I wanted a Pistachio Gelato Gourmand perfume and that’s what DUA gave me. I wanted to smell pistachio and vanilla and that’s what I got with DUA. Kayali gave me soapy sweet florals. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t a gourmand imo.
I agree! D&G Light blue has lemons which are “edible” but I will never in my life consider it a gourmand. A gourmand to me is just edible dessert, that’s it lol 🤷🏾♀️

I couldn’t resist and ordered pistachio gelato a few days ago and got it 30% off 🙌🏼😍 I think this is the PISTACHIO we were all imagining yum was going to be. I’ve been wearing yum everyday since I posted my review and I only got gourmand from it the first time I sprayed it I don’t know what was different that day but I could’ve ate it that day it was so yummy! .. then I sprayed it again and ever since that second spray all I get is a yummy pistachio that has a potpourri scented powder thrown ontop. 😑🤢 it’s definitely not a love and I won’t be getting the full size. Unless it’s magically good in colder weather when I move this fall 🤷🏻♀️😆
The Dua Pistachio Gelato is fabulous, oh my goodness, yes! I also have and like Kayali Pistachio Gelato, but there is really no comparison... they are so different! I am hoping Kayali does better when the weather here actually warms up.
I HATE the DUA pistachio gelato! It smelled like dirt to me. I so badly wanted to like it. I sold mine on mercari. I do like the kayali yum pistachio though
I love the smell of Kayali’s perfume, as I live in south Texas and it’s already in the high 90’s. However, the scent lasted on me for a bit over an hour and I went nose blind to it. I can’t justify purchasing a perfume that doesn’t last and can’t get with it. Great review and video! 😊

I have Kayali Yum and after letting it sit awhile, it does smell nice. Was it worth the $146 I paid for it? HELL NO 🤣 I don’t know where half the notes are in this fragrance because it’s not “yummy”. It’s just nice. That’s it. I wish I would’ve gotten a small bottle, but I fell into the hype after the Sephora “accidental” drop. I am interested in trying the dua version. I have two dua fragrances and so far the longevity is poor. Maybe it’s just my skin, but they don’t last over an hour or two. 😢
I also think it’s pretty after talking a little about it with you on Instagram, however I can’t bring myself to buy this based on the longevity. “Intense” where? Intense soapiness?! I can’t distinguish any of the notes on my skin or on my clothes. Hope they somehow rejuvenate this scent because $200+ AUD for a scent that quickly becomes a skin scent is insane.
It absolutely smells to me like nothing I got it from Sephora before it was supposed to be released and I think it smelled like water. I am thinking I should start a perfume brand and call it water and just put some tapwater in there and charge $136 and see how many people are like. Oh, this is the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled in my life, you cannot smell nothing at least to me in this perfume
Dua Brans Pastichio is great . I wish I had got a backup bottle before it sold out. I am check 6 times a day. I just purchased it last week. I got so many compliments it was crazy.🤪

Was having buyers remorse until I watched this. I trust your opinion and now have restored confidence that I probably made a good purchase. Was concerned that the Pistachio would be a no go. Looking forward to a DUA restock of Cotton Candy so I can try it out!
I enjoy kayali yum so much. I understand the fragrance. As soon as I saw all the notes I knew it wasnt ganna be a gourmand like we think of when we think of a winter gourmand. It was meant for spring/summer & luckily, I get allllll those delicious sweet notes🤤😍. I got it early & im already half way thru the bottle. Ive been playing with layering combos cuz the longevity is about 3hrs on me🥴. I layered it with mfk gentle fluidity gold (AMAZING), kilian princess, sol cheriosa 62 & lira & I love em all. So much so that I'm considering purchasing the 100ml. I want to get the dua one but its sold out💔💔 but I bought demeter pistachio instead. Im on a pistachio kick clearly😂😂😂
Yes it was love at first sniff for me also. I don’t like the opening too much but the drydown is So good. Great for Summertime because it’s light. It definitely gives airy cold gelato. They could have made the pistachio note in it slightly stronger. I’m love Gourmands but can’t wear them in the heat so this is good. The bottle is very attractive also . Must try DUA next.
I hated the lemony cleaner smell of the Kayali Yum opening, but the drydown was everything! It turned into the sweet gourmand on my skin and on the test strip that Mona described. However, I won't be purchasing it. I have to like the entire wear, not just the drydown
You gotta soak yourself in the kayali for it to last. 😂 I do like the way it smells so I've put a dent in it already. I layer it with other frags, like Lost Cherry, Jasmine Marzipan, and Safanad. The people around me have said that I smell great, so it's a crowd pleaser. I'm glad I got an atomizer with the purchase so I top up a lot.
There must be something special about the little bottles from the Kayali site vs Sephora because it is potent. This one actually lasts awhile on me, but other people seem to smell my sillage more than I can smell it on myself. Overall I really like it. I can honestly say if it wasn’t for the hype, I wouldn’t have purchased this based on first sniff.

Good looking out. I wanted to know if Dua was actually gourmand. I think people are very influenced by marketing. Pistachio gelato is very soapy and powdery. I do like it but the name pistachio gelato is super unfitting. At best theres a nutty lactonic note in there under the powder and soap.

Peace and blessings. I wonder why we or anyone argues opinions? Its like why did you watch the video knowing that there's a high chance that the reviews will differ. My mom got me a travel of the Kayali and we both didn't enjoy the projection nor the sillage. We layered it with Lovefest. I love Deja Vu White Flowers and the Vanilla Royale but I wouldn't say this is my favorite house. Its pretty fragances. I will say though that Le Labo is one of my favorite houses and you have to to the comparison and let us know how you feel. My favs are Lys 31 and Ylang 49. Another 13 is also divine and I will have to get my nose of the Nior again. Its hella pricey but we all have a house we spend them coins for and thats Le Labo for me. Thank you for always sharing and taking the time to do these videos. You've made videos for us through different parts of your life and I appreciate that you enjoy this and us enough to make sacrifices. We love you boo.
I loved the opening of kayali’s but the dry down on my skin gave 100% pink sugar. If the fragrance could remain as the opening I’d love it. I just ordered the dua’s and I’m hoping for a better scent than the kayali

More clean and citrusy to me, not the gourmand leaning fragrance I thought it would be. But to each is own I’ll be purchasing from Dua for a pistachio scent. Man oh man, I'm so disappointed 😞 I also own both Kayali and DUA pistachios and the vibe is worlds apart. For me, Kayali is soapy and powdery (like baby powder) and then becomes almost ...citrus-like? It reminds me of a cheap powdery/musky body spray I once bought as a kid. It changes and becomes creamier/sweeter for me on the skin but always with that overwhelming powder. It is not something I see myself reaching for IN GENERAL, let alone when I want pistachio. I think she's going to back to Sephora and I will happily rely on my DUA . I have them on opposite wrists and that highlights everything I don't like about the Kayali one. This really sucks, I was so excited but I'm glad I bought the travel size.

Never tried the dua perfumes but I would love to. The kayali yum is pretty reminds me of Noa by cacharel on the dry down but it doesn’t project and it stays close on skim not impressed by that thank you great review 💕
DUA put out an email statement today saying they're removing all kayali inspired or related fragrances 🤔🤔🤔🤔guess I have to get pistachio gelato elsewhere.
Pistachio Gelato came out 6 months before kayali. Mona stole the name from them (probably not intentionally) so it's not inspired by Kayali. It should be coming back.

Pistachio Gelato came out 6 months before kayali. Mona stole the name from them (probably not intentionally) so it's not inspired by Kayali. It should be coming back.
