G’day Allen. Loving these videos of the bike and the commentary. “Another awesomely produced GoPro video” 🤣 the ability to take the Mickey out of one’s self is an admirable, but dying art. The youth of today thrive only on praise and positivity. Being able to have a laugh at yourself goes a long way. Keep the videos coming, very amusing and inspiring. As a result of your videos, I’m investing in two of these bikes for both myself and my wife. Would love to see you do a long journey to test the longevity of the bike battery. Maybe a half day/lunch trip and review. Looks like great, great fun. Good stuff 👍
Oh wow, im looking for an eBike as well but thought the law here said 250W motors only, if theres a way around that im up for getting one, its pathetic they made the wattage so low, its really hard to find anything actually useful so small but that one you have looks awesome, basically an electric scooter.
These are the laws I can find, pretty draconian and impractical from what I can see, maybe be careful if the coppers are around, love the little bike 👍🏼 "The laws for e-bikes in Australia are quite simple. To be ridden on public roads, e-bikes must: Have a motor that is 250 watts or less. If it has a throttle (that powers the bike without pedalling), have a motor that is 200 watts or less. Be speed limited to 25km/h"
Most new fatboy Bikes have 1000 W engine on them that are only governed to go 25 km an hour. But you can override that to go at least 4045 km an hour if you want to I usually stay at 30.
If you decide to buy a good Electric Bike, you can have the dealer override the power restrictions through the controller they know how to do. It quite easily only takes a few seconds or go on TH-cam and find the best way the difference is enormous. My bike is 1000 W engine, and I’m able to to take it up to 55 km/h, but of course I don’t I average about 30 km an hour on the throttle because of my age I don’t pedal very much therefore the milage will only take me about 40 km before the battery dies but if you use pedal assist you will get 80 km on the fatboy Bike. Good luck Regards Alan
Nice mate, they are so much fun, what tyer pressure are you running now for maximum mileage? It states 30psi maximum but I might go 40psi I'm sure it won't hurt haha
For me 30 psi is perfect. I don’t want to push it because I’m an old dude are use it for local running around but I’ve already done 600 k’s without any issues. Do you have one yourself?
@gentlygently2 I got a Fatboy scrambler 2 days ago and it's amazing, I've done 100ks on it in 2 days. So much fun, how many kilometres are you getting out of a charge?
@@matttrevillien9865 good to hear. The scramble it is supposed to be a great off Road, Bike. Fatboy tells me that I can get 80 km out of one to ride. Because I use throttle only I'm lucky to get 40k's. And I'm happy with that anyway if I was to pedal everywhere, I would probably get 80k's. Glad to hear you're having fun.
I want to get one but I'm hearing all these horror stories that they are illegal to use in NSW, yes i see heaps out there but I'd be the one they pull over if it IS illegal, that's why I haven't made the leap yet.
Thanks for the video, Allan. Buying one Tuesday 🎉
Just watching your video brings me joy.

@@gentlygently2 Cheers Alan, it looks like you are loving yours, enjoy.
The motor can be over 250w it just has to be electronically limited

Are they good up steeper hills
There are no such things as Hills when you have a bike like this😅

Does the bike have a rear brake lights?
yes it does. And the headlights are amazing very strong
Awesome its cool :)
How can you go so fast I thought the law states 25km/h? Is that legal
Where did you buy it from and how hard was it to unlock the speed limiter?
Looks great enjoy, I hope to check the Fatboy out more
Cool
You know of cores that any motor over 250 watts is illegal.
That guy walking in the bike lane🤦🏽♂️
