Congrats and another great video. You seem to have got the balance between racing and accumulating SR spot on - some folk farm SR but don't "race", whereas you are able to be competitive as well as safe. A winning combo! The real trick that you use here is knowing when to fight and when to let the place go...a lot of people could learn this from you
Thank you once again! I am combining some thoughts about this balance at the moment actually. Its been an interesting experiment of increasing the SR while being in the middle of every single race. Hopefully my approach can help others in some way. It has been a lot more fun then just starting from the back all the time!
Wow, you're already very fast...I'm still struggling to get below 1:37 on Misano. SR is slowly going up though, I try to stay out of trouble 😄. Congrats on your promotion!
Thank you! My advise for Misano is get completely over basically all the inside kerbs. There is so much time to find with the track limits! But keep that SR climbing! Where is it at currently? One of my next videos will actually be about how I have raced for SR in rookies.
@@BradleySettersMotorsportIt’s at 3.15 now, it went down after the first couple of races but now I’ve had 4 consecutive races with no negative SR. This week I’m only doing the sprint races on Misano as I’m not that great on Brands Hatch. Looking forward to more of your videos!
Congrats on the promotion! I'm still working on getting the required SR to start my LFM license. Thank you! Yes I am interested to see how the Elo progresses now. I think the chance of me being competitive in a split one race are slim, so if I race at times with lots of players online then I might have more chance of gaining Elo. Also need to build up an SR buffer so I don't end up back in rookies!
@@BradleySettersMotorsport Don't stress much about the safety rating now. If you are reasonably consistent and predictable, it'll climb quickly. The races out of rookies is much cleaner and it's much easier to keep your safety racing once you're out.

As a first viewer i have a quick question how are u that fast i am also new in acc At first i thought you had good setups but after buying a setup it is faster but you still fast Do you have any strong previous experience
Practice an implementation of knowledge when you can use every inch of the track and you are incomplete understanding of what the car can do and will do you can push the car to the limits he's not new to racing just new to acc
Take a look at Track guides regarding to the car you drive the most. Stick to that one car and learn bit by bit. Its the best you can do in my opinion. If you wanna learn about Setups dont buy them right away. There are many great free ones. Also get into practice and play around with the setup and try to learn to understand which changes have a certain effect.
Hey thanks for the question. I did a lot of GranTurismo growing up, but nothing the last 10 years. But I would call myself well researched going into ACC. You can learn a lot from watching the top streamers, and track guides are good for research. But I do take all my driving sessions very serious, and its seems to be paying off so far. I have some videos in the works with a driver coach that will be a good help for new players. So stay tuned for that!
Got destroyed at Misano the other day. A guy couldn't overtake me, so he rammed into me... My mustang was destroyed, and from 13 in lap 7, I ended up second to last. Rookie sprints are full of kamikazes not caring about others
I also love a fair fight. Its just less likely you will get a clean one in rookies. I have found its much better to be the car behind as you control the outcomes. But only go for a move if you are 110% sure it will work. You might not get the chance to pass, but you learn a hell of a lot in the process and look after the SR.
How do you get those overlays, I race with a vr headset because im limited in space so idk if they would work well but I think the overlays would help me out with better understanding my car
My overlays are from ACC Drive. Lots of cool features and lots more info compared to the normal ACC stuff. I haven't used it in VR, but its all works in VR.
It was from your side. You can see a little bar between the car make and your name. That is latency. Your goes full red and full bar sometimes meaning that your latency is spiking.
Kind of right, but in the moment they had contact the bar was still yellow. so not that big of an issue. Regarding latency the most important thing is real life distance between the 2 players and the routing. Since the Aston was desyncing i asume he was the one lagging. If the aston would not have been lagging he would not have desynced. BUT he also has a RED Number card so i think him being fairly less rated than Setters makes it happen. As he said misjudgement.
