Hey, I've been playing for quite a while, I've never taken lessons primarily to try and develop my own style. Admittedly I feel like I've been not progressing much lately. Your videos are so unpretentious and clear and so helpful that just going back to basics is so refreshing and something I obviously needed. Thanks for making these, you're a good teacher.
My colors… green - intro beats pink - verse purple - verse (when vocals start early) yellow - chorus light green - breakdown / bridge red - outro beats orange - loops blues - “fun” parts - to trigger favorite vocal phrases for example … These are just my preferences. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.
@@Getgroove To change the color of the pad, just right click on hot cue slot that you want to change. Let's say we want to change the color of the very first hot cue. If you right click on the hot cue slot, then you will see the 16 colors to choose from. Just click on the color you want. Hello. I’m new to DJing and your videos are extremely helpful. Question: When setting hot queues, do they also transfer to other controllers similar to memory queues? Or are they only for that specific controller you set them on?
What are the coloured bars and disco lights under the waveforms? Are they a setting that could be turnt on? Also for phase mixing, is there a setting that'll automatically tell us how many bars the intro/outro has or are they memory cues that you need to manually set? Great vid mate! Learnt a lot.
@TheSoggetto no unfortunately, im hoping the dude replied 😭 after some experience though, the disco lights are based on the intensity of the song. So usually during the middle is when the song will have most instruments and would generally be a more difficult part to mix in. Phase mixing, im taking an educated guess on by trying to judge the length of the intro/outro.
