Glad Brie is covering this. I found it shocking when I first read about this in project censored’s “The State of the Free Press 2024” and subsequently on mint press news.
I got one of them questions for ya guys: Let's say tuition and fees at Balderdash Law School is $50,000 per year for for 2024-2025. You are admitted for this cycle with a full tuition scholarship for three years that is $150,000. You attend Balderdash Law School for free the 1st year. The Dean at Balderdash raises the tuition for 2025-2026 school by 10% and then wants to raise it another 10% in 2026-2027. So respectively tuition would be $55,000 in 2L and $60,500 in 3L. Does the 'typical' law school full tuition scholarship cover the $5k and $10.5k difference in future years?
It all depends on how the law school words their offer. If the school calls it a "full tuition" scholarship, then it should cover tuition increases. But make sure the law schools explicitly states that in their offer letter. If they don't, follow up with the school to confirm.
