  • I got a pair of Lladro figurines, but unfortunately one of them had an accident during filming! There's nothing to be done about it, so the other one will be put on Etsy, and the broken one will be glued back together and donated to a thrift store.

Those figures are for a selected few, so be very proud to own one of these

Wow so sorry about your breakage. Real Lladro always has a serial code engraved into the bottom and a blue Lladro stamp, it also tends to have little letter markings, I assume you are unsure because its from the 1970's though. I just picked up a Lladro clown from a charity shop, looking him up and hes worth 450 dollars. I don't even want to sell him though because hes beautiful. Another way to tell authentic Lladro is it has a coolish feeling to it. Like not stone cold but cool.
    Kind regards!

Wow, that's a great find! Thanks for the info :) I'm definitely on the look out for Lladro these days.

I admire your composure! I knew about the breakage, and still my heart is pounding.
On the Lladró or not question, I am no expert (my mother had a few of them, lord knows what happened to them ::sigh::), but I think the faces in yours are too exaggerated to be original. The ones my mother had were all a lot more subtle, both in the molding and the painting.

Yeah the collector I consulted said the same thing - the faces were not quite right for Lladro. Still, you live and learn ^_^

That's not lladro it could be nao lladro (Spanish version) and I would just bin the drunk guy You were touching them way too much hunni and it was an accident waiting to happen plus your camera fiddling about sorry but I couldn't stop laughing as I knew it was gonna break with you touching it too much. Hope you managed to sell the girl! X

    Too much handling, frustrating

Yeah I've noticed I tend to talk with my hands, so I'm moving stuff around too much. And of course I paid for it here when I broke one of them! It's something I'll have to work on.

In UK we premise it Lad Row not yad row and I own around 50 lladro so I think it depends what country ypur from for pronouncing! In Italy I bought 2 figures and the shop keep said lad row to me! 😂I have a rare one a pregnant lady Bought it when I was 6 months pregnant! 45 yrs ago lol
