Would love to see a industry replacement series with a large map and long trains pls - curious to see what BBHs etc look like for long trains. I’m over seeing tiny trains :(
bbh needs to be built taking into account the curves and length of the train. Long trains need slow and powerful trains for good curves. You also need to take into account that the waiting base needs to be longer. All this makes game much harder and needs huge maps for big junction.
I'm considering using an industry set for the next series, haven't settled on one yet though. I'd like to keep things relatively close to base-game, so sets like YETI and FIRS might be a little too complicated. The map will definitely be much larger next time 😀
This is a long shot, But Your using the transition peices in the FIRS and CHIPS style objects, and even though I have 1.10, I don't have those objects. Your little series has inspired me to get creative with a much smaller map, but Im sharing alot of your frustrations with decoration, and it doesn't help my newgrf are missing assets. Did you get yours somewhere other than BaNaNaS?
@@xxFireaxx It is citymania, there's a chance I have an earlier version of the 13.4 client, which settings are different? As for a lot of my GRF's, most of them were auto-downloaded from other people's savegames/collections that friends have sent me, so there are probably a ton of random older versions I have that might not be listed on BaNaNas anymore.
@@ChuggersLR I actually discovered I was missing the addon CIRso, which includes the terrain transitions. Took a lot of digging to find the mention of it. I'm on the latest 14.0 citymania client. Your icons are different then mine (mine stayed vanilla) and I can't seem to figure out station dragging. I think I can figure it out! that said I appreciate the help, and don't expect troubleshooting assistance in youtube comments XD, so really appreciate the reply.. I'm really looking forward to your next OpenTTD content. Learned a lot from watching and it was a very cozy series.

@@endelo7533 I definitely understand that - currently playing a 8k by 8k map lmao
@@godaeitrox lugnutsk playing with long train. You can watch him video.
@@endelo7533 appreciate it, already watched him :D

your rail jungle looks really cool
Love the videos and hope that you will explain some of the junction-building in the future!
Working on putting together a tutorial series covering some of the advanced topics here! Not sure when they will be out but it is a work in progress.
That would be amazing!
@@ChuggersLR very looking forward to some tutorials. just so i can better tell what im looking at.

keep up the good work! awesome shit right here, love the intros especially
Ah yes, the visual indicators...😊
What I would like to know is when you do these upgrades/rebuilds do you send trains to depots, just stop them, or just let them crash?
I usually stop the incoming lanes just beyond the area I'll mainly be recording, it stops all the through-traffic in the junctions
wow thats really cool
Like how you did the chapters. What music did you use?
The music is a combination of Sim City 4, Sim City 3000, and a cover album of the original Transport Tycoon songs composed by John Broomhall
@@ChuggersLR Thanks.

Also wanted to ask what client are you using? I deducted its citymania, but mine looks a bit different and has different settings.
