Great overview - thanks! Would love to see some Unify Dream Machine specific setups… I’m struggling with network configs and promox + HA… Probably a simple fix, but a walkthrough of your setup would be great. Love the videos and clarity you provide!
I have actually been working on a new setup at a clients this week - thinking of creating a setup video for the unifi system I am installing! - keep an eye out for it - and thanks for watching
There's another way ... if you have a reverse proxy then you can use a (sub)domain to access HA that way. And an addition to your #2, you can enable 2 factor authentication, but only when you log in when you're not in your local network. That works for all non LAN connection and is a good thing to have for that extra layer of security. But at home you get straight in
Hi. Maybe can someone help me. I have HA Setup on a remote Server hosted by a friend of mine with the offical iso. The manual installation of HA core on ubuntu didnt worked somehow so it tried the iso. To be able to see my solar inverter and stuff I need to setup a VPN Connection to my fritzbox/lan. How do i configure this in HA? all the guides I have found are for when you want to connect to your HA remotely. but first i have to get the connection to my fritzbox and my local network.
Not 100% sure how you are trying to set this up - but you would most likely need to use your network gear to create the VPN and create a route to allow access from your home assistant box. I don't think there is any easy way to do this with Home Assistant itself! Hope that helps - thanks for watching!
@@yoyoTechKnows yes it helped. I thought there would be a easy way to Install a vpn Client all on the HA itself. I build a tunnel network vpn Interface on the Router for the VMs. Everything works now :)
This week - no music! LOL, its funny becuase when I add music, comments are please no music, and then when there is no music, I get comments that I need some music to break things up - so the only solution seems to be some one way, some the other! :-) thanks all the same for watching!

Have you tried homeway?
I have not - but it looks pretty cool - I will check it out! Thanks for the lead and thanks for watching!
Note it cost money to use , except to have LIMITED access to HA but unlimited will happen when you pay though
First tutorial video with music in the background, what a stupid idea
