I don't really understand the logic of some of the naysayers. " I'm not sold yet.. plus they are playing with their backup QB." The same backup QB from the second half of the Nebraska game? Where we scored more in 2 quarters than #4 ranked OSU did all game? Both away games for Nebraska. OSU barely snuck away against them a week after IU absolutely melted them. They say we play no ranked teams, Nebraska was ranked this year, and they were #26 ranked team when IU played them. Washington was close to top 25 earlier in the year as well. It's not like we are playing complete jokes of teams.
Not quite about the CFP. The 5 highest ranked conference champs do get those 5 auto-bids, but only the top 4 get first-round byes. The 5th auto-bid still has to play a first-round game, and may have to play away if they are lower-ranked than their opponent.
I thought Myles was a very talented player; but I was more than impressed with his performance in Tennessee. I'll go out on a limp and predict; by the end of the season Rice will be the best point in the Big 10. Probably the only area of the game Smith will be better is his great rebounding; one of the top 10 small guard rebounders ever in college ball. But Rice's size and change of speed and direction will devastate many a team, Go Hoosiers a top 10 team right now; both futbol and basketball
I see only one game left IU won’t be favored in, that’s OSU. And I think that could be a very competitive down to the wire game. Say they win out but lose to OSU, that still could put them into the playoffs because I think Penn State could lose 2, in which case Oregon, OSU, and Indiana, should go. I don’t think the Big Ten will get 4 teams into the playoff. I think the SEC might though.
I think Tayven showed enough, we could likely pull out another win relying on the run game and a defense that seems to improve week after week. Would love to see Rourke again but don’t bring him back before he’s ready. Don’t give much credence to the AP poll, only 43 votes separate us from 8th ranked ND… there are over 80 votes between ND and Tenn so the teams 8-13 are all effectively tied in the voters eyes, let’s see if they jump us over the loser of OSU @ Penn St next week presuming we take care of business in East Lansing
They won't rush Rourke back and they won't start Tayven then bring Rourke in if Tayven struggles. If Rourke plays, then that means he is good to go. If Tayven plays, that means he was their best option given Rourke's injury. This staff does not toe the line. They go all in on whoever will give them the best chance at winning.
@WizopIndy That's the f'd up thing, but even if we lost them and still finished 11-1 all we can hope is PSU would take care of them or even Michigan, it is a huge rivalry.
Let's just say for a minute that IUFB only has one loss for the regular season. And the only loss is OSU. I guarantee!!!!!! The playoff committee will find away to keep IUFB out of the playoffs! They don't want to make that decision at all!🤔🙄🏈
If Kurtis can go, he needs to get back in there and stay tuned up for the home stretch. And, yes. Sitting out hurts his Heisman consideration.

It's biased because we've been historically bad! We just have to keep winning. If we go into OSU 10-0 naysayers will change.
I am kind of okay with not getting respect. We just keep moving along.
ohio st hasn't beaten a ranked team either. neither has penn st., or miami, or texas, or iowa st., or notre dame, ...

Not one of the best but the very best season ever already!

you'll "go out on a limp"? lol. priceless
So.. basically there is no real update?

IU fan here, IU hasn't played any ranked teams. If IU beats Ohio State then IU will get some respect.

Start Jackson and if he starts to struggle put in Rourke.
Intro to update way too long
Our ranking assumes an Ohio State loss. If we win that game, we'll swap rankings with them.
If we go into OSU 10-0 and win, we should be top 5 if not higher. It'd be a crime otherwise
@@mattcroddy4691 Agree. But if we lose to OSU and we each finish the season 11-1, I think OSU should be ranked higher.
@WizopIndy That's the f'd up thing, but even if we lost them and still finished 11-1 all we can hope is PSU would take care of them or even Michigan, it is a huge rivalry.
@@WizopIndy that's genius!
Is he using glove?
I don't believe that. That is your idea not Indiana who believe he is 100%
Look what they've been doing to ND last few yrs. Because they aren't in a conference, they always down play ND
Yeah, ND needs to join the Big Ten. Add Cal or another team out east with them.
@@mark8337 blah. send all the pac ten teams back. they're getting their asses kicked in the rough big ten
if you don't stop talking like that, i'm never going to watch you again.
it certainly doesn't sound good

See my comment about that. Penn State would need to end up with 2 losses. I think they’ll only take 3 Big Ten schools. SEC maybe 4.
@@mark8337 makes no sense. we have a lot more schools
@ but not as many top football programs…
@@mark8337 playoff projections have 4 big ten teams in and 3 sec currently
@ the operative word their is “projections”. So, they are guesses by people. It could happen, but also may not.
