Well, most of the branches here around me in Florida are either really hard or are full of sap. Plus, most of the ones I find on the ground are already rotting away. Trust me, I would love to find some nice branches, but it has always been a hit or miss (mostly a miss) so shipping in basswood for me is just a massive convenience.
