  • When selecting a RAIN RFID antenna that is suitable for your project, you have to consider some important factors. Such as the dimension of the antenna, the desired read range and polarization, the environmental protection and more. In this white paper we discuss different ways to approach the selection of the correct antenna for your project.

    I want to modify the antenna of RFID scanner. It is internal antenna.
    Does it possible to remove it or attach the new antenna to the end of the internal antenna.
    Thanks!

      Technically it is possible to replace the internal antenna or extend its connection.
      But we would advise to contact the manufacturer.

    How many tags can one good antenna and reader read in 5000 sqft of space from a fixed location given ideal environmental conditions? TY.

      One single antenna does not cover 5000 sqft, but if all tags pass the antenna it is no problem. It depends on height, but also on tag type used. Please contact us if you have any other questions. (www.cisper.nl/en/contact)

      It depends. If you are in need for a reader with integrated antenna, we would recommend the Nordic ID Sampo S2. If you have any other questions, please contact us. We are happy to help you.

    What do you mean by "orientation of the tag. If the orientation of the tag is known" What do you mean by that? Because im in a way to choose the RFID antenna

    • @Cisper-RFID
      @Cisper-RFID  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Ridho.
      For example in a production environment, when assets pass a stationary antenna. If the tag/label is always vertically passing the antenna, it will be better to use a linear antenna. The radiation field can be more precise with less RF power.
      If the orientation of the tag/label varies, it will be better to use a dual linear or circular antenna.
      If you have any other questions, please contact us. www.cisper.nl/en/contact. We are more than happy to help you.
