Can you complete the Duality dungeon using only the Duality exotic shotgun? Today we're gonna find out and try an have some fun while we're at it! If this video reaches 2000 likes I'll make How NOT to Solo Duality and I will also go until I get the exotic sword Heartshadow to drop for me. Can you beat the Duality dungeon using only the duality exotic shotgun? In this video I intend on answering that question but first I wanna credit MrxEthco from our Discord, link in the description. In a previous video I asked for challenge video sugestions to which he DM’d me with this idea, I thought it was too funny not to try and here we are. Also at the end of the video I will be giving you all an update on the next entry in the how not to solo series with a neat twist. Without further adue, let’s find out if you can beat Duality using only…Duality
time to load into the dungeon. This is probably a good time to mention two things, first of all I decided going into this first run that I would not be allowed to use abilities outside of my Ward of Dawn for extra damage with Duality. Okay moving into the first room I was immediately met with the realization that this is impossible. From where the game places you, you can’t actually hit the bell on the other side of the room with Duality. So I pulled out Austringer and hit it that way. This of course set the precedent that when forced, I’m gonna have to use my handcannon to hit a bell that is out of my poor Duality’s range. Not even 15 cabal in and I’m already out of Ammo.
Here’s a challenge for you, count the amount of times I say Duality in this video. You’ll never guess what happens next, I ran out of ammo. I killed psions for a while until I felt ready to go back in. I was here for so long that I was beginning to wonder If I had missed the removal of special ammo in the hotfix. I went back in and ran out of time so I had to come back empty handed, a waste of time, and ammo. When I returned to the real world you’ll never guess what I did, I killed psions until I had ammo. This time around I managed to grab the chalice banner and leave with my life.I was bored and in need of ammo so I tried to entertain myself by only using finishers on the psions while I waited. This was until I accidentally no clipped into a wall and punched a psion into the backrooms funny to think that this is how my Guardian dies in this timeline. After a few more deaths I finally broke and threw a grenade, so I guess abilities are allowed now. It was almost time for my first damage phase but special ammo literally just doesn’t exist .
But I don’t wanna leave you guys with a disappointing defeat, So I got my buddies John and Apples to suffer with me. There’s one important difference here though, while we will all be using Duality as our only weapon, for the sake of time we’re also allowing abilities, this may be disappointing to some but trust me this was still hard and honestly I don’t think the second encounter is possible with exclusively Duality, at least not reasonably. Regardless, let’s jump into the second run.
Prophecy was hard, this is just inconvenient, lots of waiting around for ammo, abilities, It starts to add up.
We tried letting John finish the belkeepers at every opportunity since he was using the aeon gauntlets, these finishers would drop special ammo for me and apples. I also switched to thundercrash for damage cause, we were not looking to 10 phase Empress Caitl. Even still, you’re about to see one of the longest and most inefficient Caitl attempts I’ve ever seen.

idk about anyone else but i don't have that mod, and i have every other finisher mod
so I wasn't the only one thinking about it...
Or Heavy Handed? Always surrounded there
It consumes part of your super, so only really efficient during ad-clear.
@@vogavation but that's the point, they were spending extra time looking for ammo when they could have spent super energy during add clear for ammo
You should have used the Charged with Light mod Heavy Handed on a piece with another arc mod to trigger its secondary perk, it gives you special ammo back whenever you get a kill with a shotgun or fusion rifle while you're "surrounded" making it way easier to not run out of ammo!
It’s basically infinite ammo as long as you are surrounded and getting one kill per shot.
also special finisher is a thing for your class item. And the charged with light mod Extra Reserves + Void damage (subclass void then) would have also saved your day
Another thing he could've used is Font of Might to get that extra weapon damage if he uses Solar class
He could of also ran double special ammo to increase special ammo spawns

If you're mostly using a special weapon, use two specials. Special ammo will drop more often and you'll get mercy ammo every 45 seconds if you're out

Heavy handed, an arc mod that costs 7 has a bonus perk when paired with another arc mod. This bonus is that it grants ammo to the reserves of fusions and shotguns on multi kills with them. Dosent work with heavy weapons, but Duality isn’t a heavy weapon
Fun fact, is you even just *hold* a primary weapon instead of a special and get an ability kill, your chances of a special drop is drastically increased, it's like the game doesn't want you to run just your special weapon and stores your brick drops until you swap off of the weapon

If you do the video for heart shadow, the exotic sword, try and do triumphs for the duality dungeon on the way. Certain triumphs give a higher drop rate for the exotic. Excited for the video!!!!
There is a fine mechanic - after u shoot chains and big bell rung, shoot smaller one to get in the nightmare faster. U would get spare like ten seconds to deal with flathrowers

you do know about the mod "heavy Handed" right? it gives ammo on with kills shotguns when surrounded.
I was using heavy handed, bulwark, and void for invis on finisher.

I’d definitely recommend binding charged and uncharged melee to the same button if you wanna be able to throw the hammer while an enemy is in very close proximity 👍

There is a shortcut in the second room red zone. As soon as you enter the room, kill the psions in front of you, go to where they were, turn around and shoot the bell. Then drop down to the right and enter the hole in the wall. You dont even need to go through all that area on the left, saving both time and ammo.

okay so after a bit of testing you should have equiped a second kinetic shotgun to force the green bricks to spawns or thats how it works when i run around with 3 grenade launchers

Special ammo finisher, heavy handed, and equipping another shotgun in the kinetic during damage phases as it'll force special to be given
You three should get an exclusive duality ornament and emblem for this
A great way to get more special ammo to spawn is to hold a heavy weapon while having double special equipped. Then once you have plenty of special ammo bricks on the ground, swap your other special to a primary and then pick up all those special ammo bricks.
Duality is the best exotic shotgun it’s spread is perfect for gardens and it’s a slug and buckshot at the same time I love it

Put on the ark perk Heavy Handed. You print your own special when killing an ad with a shotty near other enemies. Also special ammo finisher
I had the vault respawn bug happen to me on Monday, was very annoying. Didn't think about leaving and rejoining, but we had no damage yet anyways so just wiped.

I struggled solo flawless, I can't imagine using a locked loadout.

If you equip 2 special ammo weapons at the same time, more special ammo drops
Ammo cannot drop for your equipped weapon, heavy cannot drop from heavy kills, special cannot drop from special kills... if you only have one special. (Ammo boxes from ammo finder mods are an exception)

If you had two special weapons on, you'd get more special ammo. Probably a kinetic sniper rifle so the bells could still actually be hit (or a kinetic trace rifle if a legendary one existed).
For this I would be in a team of three abd be using reactive pulse, heavy handed, and special finisher for tons of special ammo without much consequences.
You can use void for invis on this as well for even more safety.
A tip if you are going to do a similar challenge with a special ammunition weapon is to kill an enemy with a heavy ammunition weapon in your hand using your skills, the game will literally spawn Ah but special ammo especially if you are using two special weapons

also also using 2 special weapons and running out of ammo on both of them makes the game give you special ammo out of thin air after ~25 seconds (and special finishers exist)
