वैदिक काल में कोई मंदिर नहीं थे। मूर्ति पूजा साधना की बहुत प्रारंभिक अवस्था हैं। हमारे ऋषि ब्रह्माण्ड के कण-कण में ईश्वर का अनुभव करने में सक्षम थे इसलिए उस समय मंदिरों की आवश्यकता नहीं थी। ऐसा नहीं है कि जो लोग मूर्ति पूजा नहीं करते वे यह मानते हैं कि केवल एक ही पुरुष ईश्वर है। इसका अर्थ केवल यह है कि ईश्वर आकार से परे है और हर रूप या आकार ईश्वर से ही उत्पन्न हुआ है। आपने तो अपना प्वाइंट साबित करने के लिए बस गैर-मूर्ति पूजकों की निंदा की। मूर्ति पूजा से शुरुआत करना अच्छा है लेकिन स्वयं के हृदय में ध्यान या आंतरिक पूजा पद्धति के माध्यम से ईश्वर को खोजना बेहतर है।

Great Interview, I love this Amish guy. Just one thinking from my side: The word Idol does NOT, in any way, describes "Vigraha" or "Murti" worship. English word idol was coined to describe our Carved Deities. The word idol in no way is enough to describe the Sanskrit word Vigraha or Murti. English is too limited and inadequate to describe anything in Sanskrit language. And we get tangled in english language thinking it is the most superior language to describe anything because we have been brainwashed to think it is so. Please understand your Dharma in your own language because only your language can accurately describe your Dharma and not an outsider. Hari Om. 🙏

Idol worship is a stage in sanatan dharm ..ultimately one has to move forward towards formless form. Nirgun, nirakaar Aatma/Satya/Brahma/Parbrahma. Bhagwad Gita also mentions it.
Why do u have to move away from Idol worship. Why can't u do what do u believe instead of saying ultimately have to move towards formless form.

@@pkm7776Because once you're with yourself, you stop seeking God in human form. When you're closer to the source, the need for external worship starts to disappear.
@@pkm7776In other words, the search for divine becomes internal. I would not call idol worship as an initial stage, although it makes sense why it would be called so, but formless worship is equally a good place to start, if you're past karma are that powerful.

Religion is the most confusing matter. There are several faiths but certainly God is common. So just believe there is God, we don't know the gender of God, we don't know what God looks like. It is not necessary that God looks like a man or woman. Just believe in God and stop fighting in religion.

Idol worshipping cultures creates corruption, divisions, segregation, moral differences, sexual immorality, and selfish spirituality. Therefore the society becomes an anarchy. The result is seen in the chaos and selfish outlooks and hypocrisy of our society. Ancient Jewish cultures had the problem of idol worshipping and multiple prophets saw consistently that the downfall began when idol worshipping began. So multiple prophets kept noticing the social effects and warning against it therefore Jewish faith is monotheistic strictly formless. And Christianity and Islam branched out from there. Idol worshipping will stagnate you spiritually.

bro he told that murti pooja is an effective way to reach god in podcast with dhruv rathi. he told that even Islam is doing murtipuja by praying in certain direction. What Acharya Prashant says about "मूर्ति पूजा" (idol worshipping) is 👇
Idols are the सगुण (finite form) of that "ब्रह्म (the truth)" which is in निर्गुण form
Idol worshipping is a "method" developed for those people who don't understand "निर्गुण"
If idol worship, helps you reach that "ब्रह्म (the ultimate Truth)
Then Idol worshipping is GOOD
If it doesn't helps you to reach to that Ultimate Truth called ब्रह्म then idol worship is NOT Good
exactly. we can't reduce god to our level but idols are a means through which we can worship and communicate with God as per our limited fragmented imagination. An idol is not an end but a means to reach that.
