I was watching an A's v Angels game with my cynical neighbor. The broadcaster was talking about the great season Trout was having. My neighbor goes on a brief rant about Trout and Hollywood cuties - he probably dates by the busload. Without missing a beat the announcer continues, "And Mike just proposed to his high school sweetheart. They live in New Jersey in the off season." Trout's another player like Freeman. They have fun playing the game and seem like they'd be fun to hang with. My neighbor shut up for a while after that....lol
they are trying to speed up game, knuckle ball pitchers would extend the game another 30 minutes (speed of the pitch and catchers chasing all the wild pitches).
Even when they do make contact, you can't really use physics to your advantage. You can convert the momentum from a 95 mph fastball into exit velocity. When its a 61 mph sinker, you have to create your own momentum.
Because it's a really tough pitch to throw with any kind of consistency. And if you're having a day when the ball wants to spin out of your hand, your routine becomes "Throw a pitch, and go back up third. Throw a pitch, and back up third".
I believe knuckle ball pitchers lead in strike outs and homeruns given up. Basically if it breaks its unhittable. If it doesn't it's generally smashed into the upper deck. Ive seen knucke balls with no rotation at all come in straight as an arrow and then some dance everywhere. You never know what it's gonna do.

With all his charities and philanthropy work, he is considered by many to be one of the most respected players in MLB. He is an all around class act. Best 1st Baseman out there. I love the camaraderie between Rizzo & Freeman~ when Freddy got struck out and the time when he got tagged out by Rizzo. #♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ;)

I absolutely love the pace at which Anthony pitches. I wish all major league pitchers threw at this tempo. Get it done and make the games faster and more interesting!!
If you could take any positives from Covid, it would be baseball players really enjoying the game with fans in the stands again. So many laughs and smiles so far this season.
