    Great to see Demon get more love and recognition. Great America seems to take care of the Demon and have been adding new effects these past few years to make it better and better! In early November for my birthday trip, Demon got a new effect at the demonic rock head, the maniacal demon laugh still plays since it was added in 2018, but now when the train plunges into the mouth, smoke will turn on making the train almost appear to vanish from one side. Plus, Demon’s station also got a sick repaint with reds and blacks and a decal on the station roof with a fiery text saying: “Can you survive the demon?”
    The operater both just this year had a little plaque added in there saying “In memory of Richie Dickerson.” After I got off of the coaster, I quickly asked the ride operator in the booth who Richie was and I made it quick so that I would not delay operations (even though crowds in the park were light that day and Demon only had a line of like 10 minutes or less.)
    The operator told me he was the man responsible for the coasters new station artwork and fresh paint job to make the Demon more themed and eye catching. He unfortunately passed away not too long ago and the park is honoring him for helping make Demon more themed and fresh.

    Okay, but the Demon theme song? An absolute banger. Makes it #1 in my heart

    My homestate of Ohio embraces so many spooky themes! Especially if you're a fan of horror flicks, these themes are awesome!

    This video makes me want to drop everything and fly back to ride Demon again.
    From my own experiences, I can add Ghost Rider, Silver Bullet, The Mummy (Hollywood), The Mummy (Orlando), and fuck it: Expedition Everest and Matterhorn Bobsleds have yetis, I'll throw those in there.
    My bucket list spooky coasters are the California Demon, Saw: The Ride and Wicker Man.

      Do it, come back home to the superior Six Flags 😈
      I also want to experience the wrong timeline demon in CA. Top bucketlist spooky coaster right now is Phantoms Revenge! Nemesis outside the US... Smiler too. And Saw. Ah.
      Edit: omg and verbolten

    Medusa steel coaster at Six Flags Mexico should be in your bucket list. The queue line includes a funhouse!

    Mystic Timbers is still my favorite spooky coaster. I need to get on Raven and Legend at night though, then they might pass it. Awesome video as always!

  • @DuecePiece

    Yeah the inside of Flight Of Fear is the exact same as it was from the 90's, still the same 480p monitors in the queue 😂 I really love Flight Of Fear, some people hate on it but its still the longest wait I ever had to get on a coaster opening year, 3 hours and worth it! My little cousin chickened out the second he saw the launch 🤣 good times!

      They now have HD monitors, at least at KI. They're turned sideways and display the original footage in the center with some new graphics around it. I'm glad they preserved the video portion but most riders don't really get to experience it because they aren't in that part of the queue for long.

    My list is very different as I’m in the UK and nearly every coaster is spooky themed. My list:
    1. SAW the ride
    2. Th13teen
    3. The smiler
    4. The swarm
    5. Wicker man
    See how my list of different?

    I think the most spookiest ride theme is Smiler at Alton Towers. That theme is so messed up it’s not even funny😆

  • @DoomPlague
    @DoomPlague 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It being my home park, I guess it never occurred to me that KI coasters favor spooky themes. You also have The Bat, which isn't heavily themed but the original, failed Bat in the 80s was. Adventure Express has skeletons and angry tiki statues. And the Racer almost killed the Brady Bunch. Does that count?

    • @ZeroCreditsRemaining
      @ZeroCreditsRemaining  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL
      KI is the closest thing we have to an Alton Towers, theming wise. Not spooky, but Bat is very Halloween to me. The orange helps!

    I feel cheated, there was no howling wolf when I rode The Legend. Not a huge fan of laterals so personally I’d say Raven is better but they’re both great.

    Where was the voyage 😡

      Are you serious?

    • @avisponfurioso325
      @avisponfurioso325 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ZeroCreditsRemainingAdditionally, the voyage is exceptionally terrifying when it is done at night. Just picture those airtime hills in the dark! Although I would argue that Legend is a scarier night ride, I think the thing that truly gets to me is the Voyage when the Trim Breaks are Off. It's really insane, and it seems like it will never end. And things that continue on and on forever sound terrifying, especially when done in the dark! In conclusion, due to the scurvy, dark, and unpredictable airtime hills, as well as the general concept and terrible nature of the sea, as well as the perilous and frightening voyage of the Mayflower that the roller coaster is based off of, I would grade it a scary out of 10.

    • @avisponfurioso325
      @avisponfurioso325 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ZeroCreditsRemainingAdditionally, there were people who perished on the Mayflower, and there would be storms and other such things, and all of it sounds extremely terrifying. Once, while I was in a storm at sea, I became seasick, which was not particularly terrifying but really unpleasant and excruciating. In addition to this, there was scurvy! The dreaded disease known as scurvy is without a doubt the single most terrifying thing that has ever existed. Oh my gosh, at this very moment I sound like a six years old, hehe.
