Spring Scavenger Hunt

SCAVENGER HUNT - We want to see what you find!
You can take pictures of your findings, draw or sketch what you see; you can even write a story describing your findings! Submit your work to our website for the chance to win a special prize from The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse!

1. BUDS
Trees are beginning to bud! Look at the tree branches in your neighbourhood! You may even see a little bit of leaf already sprouting out! Soon these little buds will be huge summer leaves!
2. FLOWERS
Tulips: a type of flower, are some of the first plants to emerge in the spring. Look along the fences of your neighbours' houses and you may see some! Can you find any other flowers?
3. BIRDS
Birds are super active in the spring! Some- like geese, are just starting to return from migration. What kinds of birds do you see in your neighbourhood?
4. YELLOW HOUSE
This spring you will see all the fancy nests in the trees. People also make their homes fancy! Can you find a house that has been painted yellow in your neighbourhood?
5. A COOL DOOR
Look for colour in your neighbourhood. Can you find a uniquely coloured door?
6. SHAPES OF ROOFS
With the snow melting, you can see the shapes of your neighbours' roofs. What shapes do you see? Can you find roofs that are flat? Can you find a roof that looks like a triangle?
7. ART
The spring is a really good time to find local art! We found some giant jelly beans in our neighbourhood! Are there sculptures or murals in your neighbourhood?
