Speaking for myself im So glad the lord uses you as a tool to give me the tools and information that i use every day im on the water .yea i know most of.the things you teach me thruout the year but you remind me and hammer it into my.memory so that i dont forget while im in the heat of the moment. Because its easy to forget alot of things as your cramed for time fishing in a tournament and just trying to throw everything at them .slalot of times i wont slow down for a sec to even remeber certain things that will change the outcome in a posative way for me..but when i watch your videos every week it gives me that much more that i can retain and try to remember while in the heat of the moment when time is limited and the pressure is on during a club tournament on my local lakes. Thanks man i know that the more i watch the more that i learn and the more i use it in my 2 or 3 days of fishing a month. Thanks and God bless you and your family
Fish in jersey are tuff we haven't seen a bad winter in years hope this one stays above average love catching bass in the coldest water most of the time in big gangs on cover just have to be patient and slow down you said it
I fish all winter here in Canada. Living on Vancouver Island means little to no ice on most lakes. The smallies bite all winter and are actually a little easier to target. Lately, dragging the C-rig is the ticket to BIG bass.
😮 I'm from pa ! And in the winter the best spot is the bar ! A warm bar ! Everything freezes here much sooner ! And Wallenpaupack sucks in the winter ! For bass ! Peace !
Cant speak for the rest of the country, but it always amazes me how shallow i can find bass in the dead of winter. I have hammered bass through the ice in 2-3fow in dead milfoil on a cloudy snowy day, with no water deeper then 4 feet for a hundred yards. Im assuming there is a small resident population that stays shallow
So what in the world do you do on lakes like Round Valley Reservoir in NJ where literally 95% of the reservoir consists of super deep water and vertical breaks?
I used to couldn’t stand Ike yelling but now I absolutely love this guy! He is one of the most real person ever to have fished professionally! He doesn’t hold back and he says what is on his mind! I would love to fish with him for a day or two just to absorb some knowledge from him.
If the water temperature is 37 degrees don’t go bass fishing. Go look for some walleye or trout or something 😂 I’ve been fishing a small pond that I usually wreck them in when the water is warm. But lately I can’t even get a sniff. You would think that fish don’t exist in that pond. But I’ve caught over 20lbs for my best 5 there so I know there’s fish in there. And big ones. I guess that’s bank fishing though. Maybe I should invest in a kayak.
Good cold water advice. Thanks.

Look for the cover! Fish the side of the lake that gets the most sun in the winter!
