I’m not a fan of Ateez but he’s allowed to listen to whoever he wants since it’s his channel. I think armys are just a little nervous cuz we’ve seen so many reactors hop on the “react to every Kpop act ever” bandwagon to boost views… and then a lot of them inevitably compare all these groups to one another, and other drama…
but he’s proven that he’s not gonna be like that so tribe needs to put in some trust and let him do what he wants

As an ARMY from debut times, i respect ATEEZ bc they come from a small company and built their agency up just like BTS has built up bighit into hybe. I respect the hustle and also the fact that they participate in the production of their music rather than just be handed songs to do.

I'm Atiny (Ateez fandom) so I'm happy to see others enjoy their music, and I also appreciate your honesty about your music preference.
For me It's important to not blindly support an artist just because you love them, not every song will resonate with you but that's ok, you can still show respect for their efforts. It may not be for you but I'm sure someone out there loves that specific song.
To the army here I hope you give an honest chance to our boys, their passion to express themselves is one of their main attraction, they want to showcase everything to us and they try their best to receive constructive criticism from Atinys to improve their music.
To my beautiful Atinys please remember to be respectful of others, we represent Ateez in the eyes of the world. What we do is a reflection of Ateez.
    Remember Humble and Kindness, please.
Let's make our Captain proud by being sincere without attacking others.
Edit: English is not my first language, I apologize if I said something in a rude manner.

Okay, here’s the scoop on Ateez storyline. Almost all of their songs are part of the storyline, they also have a lot of supplementary material and videos to flesh out the story a little. It goes like this: Ateez are a crew of pirates that received a magic hourglass (the one that broke at the end of Deja Vu) that allows them to travel through time and across dimensions. On their journey they look for treasure, have adventures, and fight bad guys, sometime with the help of Halateez, which are the Ateez members, but from an alternate universe. (The guy that was killed by the bullet in Bouncy was one of those bad guys). Each Ateez album is labeled with a chapter name and an episode name and number. The current chapter is called The World, where Ateez has entered a dystopian world where emotions have been brainwashed out of the population to make them easier to control. Ateez has started a Guerrilla insurgency to take down the corrupt government and restore emotions to the people, even smuggling weapons in chili peppers. And as you can imagine, chilis would be in high demand among people who had no emotion and were desperate to feel something. Thanks to the music video for Halazia it seems like Halateez is also in this world, and it could possibly be their home world since we learn earlier that the dimension Halateez comes from is also dystopian. Also, as you might have noticed, Ateez videos are like Marvel movies in that there are usually extra scenes after the credits (so to speak). Usually these have to do with the story line and often they tease songs from the next album.

  • @bangteeez
    @bangteeez 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +31

after listening to BTS they raised my standards so high that other kpop groups dont do it for me. the only kpop group that caught my attention was ATEEZ and now I'm obsessed with them. ATEEZ really stand out alot from other kpop groups. you'll notice this when you react more to them.
they're a self made group, they're involved in the writing lyric process, rapline produce songs, and the members participate in choreographing their choreos, there's nothing they cant do
what truly sets ateez apart from the rest of the kpop groups is their live performances, the energy, stage presence and theatrical performances they bring into the table is UNMATCHED. they always sing live unlike many groups who lip sync. their facial expression and dance ability is beyond kpop and they can easily compete with professional dance crews. and they have the best vocal line and amazing rappers
also, their concept is very rich. they have a movie worthy story line. they take their story line so seriously their Music Videos are all connected to each other and even their albums are very cohesive and the bsides in an album has a specific concept related to the main title track.
In summary their story line is this:
    there is 2 universe:
in dimension A which is the universe that we literally live in; we have ATEEZ.
and in dimension Z which is a dystopian world, there's a government called "strictland" and they banned art and music and brainwashed people that human emotion is a disease.
In this dystopian universe we have ateez doppelgangers, which they're called HALATEEZ. Halateez are also called black pirates because they dress in all black fits with mask and fedoras to hide their identity from the government (you can see them in Hala Hala Mv).
Halateez start a revolution to overthrow the government and bring people back to their senses. Halateez use an hourglass to travel through dimension and come to our universe to get help from ateez.
However the government sends "white masked man" who is a giant android guardian dressed in all white to destroy ateez and halateez. ( you can see him at the end of Answer MV and fireworks MV, also he's the one that was shot by hongjoong in bouncy MV).
There's more depth and detail to their story line but this was a general information. I hope it helped ^^

YES FOR MORE ATEEZ ON THIS CHANNEL! you listened to quite a diverse selection of ateez's music already in this video and if you liked all these, you're definitely going to like the rest of ateez's music! I'm so excited for you to listen to their albums fully because wow each one is an experience. The level and quality of the production is insane for their music.
They have such a rich storyline within their music videos and albums it's quite beautiful. One of the things ATINY (their fandom, pronounced AY-TEENIE) is very proud of is how self made they are as artists. They were the very first artists in their label, KQ, a very small company with limited resources, and ATEEZ essentially built up KQ to what it is now. Hongjoong, their leader and main rapper, has produced many songs. These boys are so talented and this group in particular are very well known and praised for their performances and stage presence. I have never seen a group that captivates and shows such emotion like ATEEZ does when they perform.
These boys have also spoken up a lot about inclusivity and equality and always aim to spread a positive message and that makes me really proud as an ATINY. I'm so excited to go through the journey of exploring ATEEZ's music with you, they really never do disappoint.
If you made it all the way here, this link is the very first piece of content ATEEZ ever put out into the world, a pre-debut dance cover where they really showcase their energy, their flavor and personality. For a lot of ATINY, myself included, this was their introduction to ATEEZ and it holds a special place in the fandom. I think it would be nice to see you check it out!

If you’re a story/lore enjoyer, Ateez is definitely the group for you!! Long long comment ahead I promise I tried to summarize 😭😭
Now for a summary; skip for MV summaries!!
Ateez are a group of 8 boys, who have met eachother at their times of looking for purpose, become close creating an inseparable bond, and work together in becoming one and finding and fulfilling their dreams. Due to outward things, they split. One night, Hongjoong (the leader, cowboy in Bouncy/red hair in Wave, twin braids in Wonderland/ first member to rap in Guerrilla) meets a man in a fedora and black suit who looks like him, and gives him an hourglass, The Cromer, a Mayan artifact that has powers based off of the phases of the moon; during crescent you can send messages through dreams, and on a full moon you can travel to a new world. He tells him things are not how they seem, there is another world and to not give up these dreams so easily. When Hongjoong awakes, the Cromer is still there and all of the members meet up at the warehouse, uniting again.
Through turning the Cromer, the members are transferred to a world that looks almost exactly like theirs, but very different. In this world, Strictland, emotions are not permitted. Things that evoke emotions are banned by the Leader Z, such as art, music, and even things such as mirrors and windows are covered at all times. All citizens have a chip implanted that repeat a mantra “do not question yourself”, and have to go to school for 40 years. While here, Ateez loses the cromer to Android Guardians (tall powerful authoritarian beings with white masks) and seeks to find it with the help of 3 people (Grime siblings and Left Eye). When they reach the bunker where the AG stay, they find another group, that look just like Ateez, just like the fedora wearing Hongjoong that left the cromer for Hongjoong, in glass cases.
In this world, their Ateez (known as Halateez for their music video “HalaHala”) are called The Black Pirates, and are leading a movement to take down Z and open the worlds eyes to both the beauty and pain of emotions and free will. Through this, they unfortunately failed and were captured into these glass cases. HalaHongjoong tells Ateez THEY must take over the mission. Ateez is confused but agree, and that’s where we are as of right now; Ateez leading the movement of The Black Pirates to take over the corrupt government through song, mantra, and using tools such as mirrors.
There is more, such as after they transferred power, Yeosang is taken and forcefully breaks the cromer in order to save the other members of Ateez and is imprisoned himself. But thankfully, Ateez is able to find a Cromer in THEIR world, and are able to go back and save Yeosang. But for now, it’s best to leave it there for the sake of MV summaries!
    MV SUMMARIES;
Guerrilla; after Ateez has saved Yeosang, taking over the responsibilities of Halateez/The Black Pirates, they are using/ and forming a plan to use Guerrilla tactics such as disguises, taking over blimps, putting up posters, throwing fliers, and hacking into multiple mainframes (the “on air” room with the TVS, the speakers on the roof, the car with hacking equipment) to break into the chips of the students/civilians while hiding and running away from officials who try to stop them. “Break that Wall with our feel, We are the Guerrillas” is the main idea here. You can see Ateez in a bunker at the end, talking with Left Eye (who survived the bunker incident, the Grime siblings did not) when a child with a uniform runs through the gate. He is wearing a Prestige Academy uniform, and is pleading for Ateez’s help because his brother has been showing emotions and has an emotion test soon; if he fails, he will be send to the bunker and disposed of. Thankfully, Ateez was planning to go there to do a mass awakening, so it’s the perfect reason to go.
Deja Vu: Deja Vu has multiple of the meeting Left eye and this “Halateez”, as well as the Yeosang breaking the cromer. When Ateez arrive in Strictland they have to approach a man named Left Eye, as he’s the only one who knows where the Android Guardian bunker is. Unfortunately, there is also a yellow gas (if you ever watch Fireworks I’m The One this is shown there) that causes hallucinations and made Left Eye very unapproachable. This is the Junk Yard scene. The warehouse scene with them being identified and the hacking is them successfully getting Left Eye’s help, and getting into the bunker. The blue light and the part with Hongjoong wearing the fedora is the Halateez/Ateez meeting moment, where Halajoong tells them it’s now time for Ateez to take over their roles. The outro scene is Yeosang, when Ateez is caught after trying to grab the cromer and Yeosang decides to break it in order to save the other members (remember, they get the cromer back from their world). If you watch Say My Name, this will explain how Yeosang is depicted since he is in a glass case in that MV.
Bouncy; Bouncy has less lore overall, similar to Wave. Their characters are split by what they’re wanted for and who they are depicted as. Most of this story is actually locked by reading the Diaries in the album. The gist is that Ateez had to split up in order to stay in hiding from the government (which is why they look a bit disjointed), and they end up successfully breaking into the school and saving the boy/awakening a large part of the students. In this case, the chili pepper is like an awakening item. Think of it like the Matrix pills, and Ateez is using these peppers to wake them up. If you know the movie Akira, it also is based on that! The shooting of the Masked Man (Android Guardian) and the scene with all of the members dancing in a white building with white uniforms and a Prestige badge is representing them successfully breaking in. The outro however, is sometimes misinterpreted. Unfortunately, Ateez wasn’t able to fully take down Z. Which is why Mingi says “so freaking persistent” and there is a Z carved out in the wanted posters. Sadly in the diaries, Z is very much alive and well, and actually punishes the principle for allowing Ateez to succeed at all. This is where we currently are in the story, and there’s so much missing from this MV that’s in the diaries alone,.
Wave; wave is actually a MV that was right around when they started showing heavy lore themes, but before they started really telling us the story. This MV is from the Treasure Series, that has a lot of debate as to where it is placed and how positive or sad it is. A few big themes are there though, such as oceans, dreams, radio signals, roads/pathways, and a big thing is Hongjoong waking up to “Open Your Eyes” (a very common phrase and is used with the Black Pirates as well) with a compass in his hand.
Wonderland; this is another Treasure Series MV, but has a lot more to cover. Ateez, who have gone through this long journey, are at “The beginning of the end” and racing to move forward. There are heavy themes of battle, the compass, time in general, failure and succeeding, waiving their flags, and this is considered a major battle against Z with the door opening and marching implements. I have a theory that this is where Halateez failed, but that’s for another day.
And I saw that inception was next so why not add a tiny summary to that one without getting too deep; Inception in literally the dream that Ateez has with the visuals of Halateez, and that’s the beginning of how this whole story happens. They’re all in beds, and their location is based off of their character diary from the first albums!
Whew! I cant believe i wrote so much, and this is me trying to summarize as much as I can. I’m actually super into the lore, and I could probably write multiple essays before I even stop, but thankfully you chose MVs that are both lore heavy and easy to explain in a linear way (as there are also themes of them being pirates! Hence the looks in wonderland esp for Hongjoong, and things like the hourglass and cromer being so important!). Didn’t mention a lot of stuff that’s important but hopefully this will explain a bit and intrigue you :D

One thing about Ateez to recommend them: they're with an independent label, rather than one of the, "Big Three."
I'm not in their fandom, but they've always seemed like a group that's trying to do something slightly different than the KPOP norm, which I like.

You like beat switching and innovative formats in music right? So you will love Ateez. Besides their themes and concepts are interesting to dive into.
They are into World Building with their music, so like every album adds more to the previous ones.
You can imagine their entire discography as a galaxy where there are different planets but all of them are connected. Every time Ateez releases new music our galaxy becomes larger, more detailed.

ATEEZ ARE INSANELY TALENTED!! SO I’M GLAD YOU REACTED TO THEM!!!
    Here’s some info about them
    1) They debuted on October 2018 with the double tittle tracks “Pirate King” and “Treasure”
    2) They are from KQ Entertainment, a small company who just had 10 employees when ATEEZ debuted but now they have 100 employees and even debuted another group called Xikers! So this is why you will see that the quality in old ATEEZ MV, aren’t that high budget as now!
    3) They’re 8 members and their introduction is “8 MAKES 1 TEAM!” (so they’re really like family)
    4) THEY HAVE A VERY STRONG DANCE SKILLS! LITERALLY THE 8 OF THEM ARE PROFESSIONAL DANCERS, they trained in LA when they were trainees and back then they were called KQ FELLAZ ( there’s 3 performances videos of it that you definitely need to check it out)
    5) Their energy and stage presence is UNMATCHED! (To understand this you will have to watch dance practice, live performances and their performances in Kingdom and Immortal Songs!)
If you want to learn more about them you should react to “THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO ATEEZ (2023)”

Highly recommend ‘Hala Hala’ and ‘Say My Name’!! They’re ATEEZ’s first comeback, double-title track songs that includes one w an anthem drop and the other with an ANTI-drop 😋😉
And speaking of firsts, they debuted with two title tracks as well! ‘Pirate King’ and ‘Treasure’ will be sure to give you a pleasant rap duo verses and shows that they’ve kept their anthem, epic-ness since the beginning! 🥰🥰💕

So... I'm an army and I'm not really interested in k-pop. I listen to a lot of different music, various genres and many artists but k-pop groups never really done it for me. I gave them a few chances, checked out a few artists and songs, some of them are fine but never got me hooked. Never checked out Ateez before either and I never had an interest in them, so I wanted to just skip this video.
However, due to hearing and reading about all the drama that happened I came here to check out rude comments that appeared here, apparently. But all I could see were positive comments from atinys (atinies?) and some armies that like Ateez as well. These comments about this group, positive and informative, made me interested in giving them a chance and so I watched the video with our lovely human Tribe Loui. Had a lot of fun, 2 of the songs are going to my playlist (Guerrilla and Deja Vu). I don't see myself diving into them but I'll definitely give them more listens on various occasions and I'm in on Loui's journey with Ateez.
So just wanted to pinpoint that all that little drama actually did something good - made me and probably a few more people interested in a new group. And what made me do this was positivity from Ateez's fans and Tribe Loui's enjoyable video.

Moment of Transparency: If this wasn't Loui, whom I have come to truly respect and whose opinion I might not always agree with but value greatly, I wouldn't have even clicked on the video. I don't actively listen to Ateez (I legit know only 1 of their songs) but I know lots of fellow ARMY that truly enjoy their music and I am open minded enough to give them a listen. And I'm glad I did. I found a song in the handful that Loui randomly listened to that I genuinely enjoyed. And, after watching 5 MVs of these guys back to back, I can totally understand the hype: These guys are energetic and has super dynamic music-- who wouldn't enjoy that?
Thanks for sharing you reaction, Loui, as always this was super entertaining. And even if I don't seek out Ateez music on my own, I would be happy to hang out with you and listen to more of their music. What can I say? Your enthusiasm is infectious. 😉

I hope you do some deep dives into them, they are absolutely top class performers even being a pretty young group, you can see how much they love what they’re doing and how much hard work they put into it. Also their group is really interesting and fun, I think most of the members being the same age and only having like two years difference between the youngest and oldest makes a pretty unique dynamic.
I hope you don’t ever feel bad about discovering new things that you enjoy, I was actually convinced to check out your channel when I saw you react to DPR Ian, I knew I could trust you to do bts justice and take them seriously after seeing you enjoy one of my other all time favourite artists.

I dont know if you still read the comments on this video but if you really wanna get into ATEEZ here a "little" guide to their lore/concept and more about the members.
I got into ateez just 4 months ago but they are already my no1 artists on every music platform. Not only because of the sound of the music but also because I feel welcomed by their lyrics (which are partly written by two members Mingi & Hongjoong) but also their personalities. They always show support to other races, sexualities and genders.
Before I start with their lore I wanna tell you some basic things. Ateez is a 8 member group under KQ Entertainment (not KO 😂). The members are Seonghwa, Hongjoong (leader/captain), yunho, yeosang, san, mingi, wooyoung & jongho. Their name ateez has two meanings. 1. a teenager who can do everything from A to Z 2. Dimension A & Dimension Z
However let's start with their story, which you already mentioned. The storyline is quite complicated so I hope you understand me even with my broken english.
Each member has their own little prestory For example Hongjoong has no family left and lives in a hut alone, yunho lost his brother due an accident, yeosang never experienced freedom, san never settled at one place bc of his parents work and jongho wanted to become a basketball player but because of an accident he can't do it anymore. So every member struggles with their own life. Next to the members there are also some other important characters.
    - Halateez, the black pirates. They are versions of ateez members just in another dimension who fight their government
    - android guardians. Some guardians who catch everyone who protested against the government
    - left eye. An old man living at a refuse dump
    - grimes siblings. Twins who also live in the dimension of halateez
    - Henry Jo. Leader of an organisation called 'sciensalvar' who tries to get the cromer.
But what is the cromer? The cromer is the hourglass you saw at the end of the deja vu musicvideo. With the help of the cromer the boys are able to travel between the dimensions whenever there is a fullmoon.
One day hongjoong was dreaming of his halateez version who gave him the cromer and suddenly disappeared again. When he woke up the cromer was with him in the room. (The ateez boys had a serious fight before that happened but when he received the cromer the boys came back and the fight was forgotten) While they inspected the cromer they suddenly traveled through the dimensions. some weird creatures showed up there so the boys ran away still processing what happened. On the run, wooyoung tripped but was safed by the grimes siblings who took them to a safe spot. However the cromer got lost during their run. Later the boys find out they are in another dimension where the government is pretty strict and forbid music and art. In that dimension some group in black with fedoras who call themselves the black pirates fought against the government but got locked up. (In the Answer, Say My Name & Deja Vu mv you can see halateez and ateez together) I could now explain the whole story of what happened during their journey of saving halateez but most important is that during their mission yeosang gets locked up in on of the Glass prisons (say my name mv & ode to joy performance) and some time travel stuff happens where yunho has to witness the death of his brother again. Since guerilla now the boys are fighting against the government and before/during bouncy they were on their run each seperated into two groups.
    - hongjoong & mingi joined bandits and are dealing with chili peppers
    - yunho & jongho are running an illegal car repair shop and have a fake police badge
    - san & wooyoung live in a truck, san an illegal boxer and wooyoung his manager
    - Yeosang & Seonghwa joined a biker gang
They live like this for 6 months till they meet again and k!ll that weird white guardian thing (during bouncy, but you can also see him during the answer mv)
There is even more to explain for example the prestige school (end of guerilla & some scenes in bouncy) but we still are clueless about a lot of things. The whole story I wrote above was told by story booklets, mv scenes, their kingdom performances and comeback promotions. But we still have so much more to understand not only by the scenes we see but also their lyrics are somehow connected. My favourite commections are:
"I wanna feel alive, don't wanna stay in the dark" - cyberpunk
"I'm ready for the dark, I'm ready for this world" - this world
By the way every end scene of the mv is always spoiling the instrumental of their next titletrack/comeback.
Okay I think I wrote enough now😂 but if you need some more recommendations:
    - Cyberpunk (amazing performance, dance, vocals and the song is epic)
    - Answer (till now one of my fav songs and mv)
    - Turbulence (if you are interested in deep lyrics and breathtaking vocals together with really good rap you should try it)
    - Take Me Home (again an amazing underrated bside with a amazing performance)
    - HALAZIA (honestly the only comeback till now I don't understand regarding their storyline but I love the song itself, and BEAT CHANGES)
    - Wonderland Kingdom Performance (believe me even you already heard the song, the performance is next level.)
    - The Real (beat changes again and my absolute favourite song together with bouncy)
