I follow your channel for couple of weeks now - so many great ideas & fantastic work you do!
Can you please tell me how you fixed the wooden board to the back of the seat? It looks like you simply screwed into it? I plan something similar but think my seats have a round metal frame inside, so not sure how this will work with screwing into and holding the weight?! Any trick or advise would be highly appreciated, cheers!

Yes, that's right, I just screwed into the back of the seat. My seat has a sheet metal support inside. I can't tell you how to solve your problem, I always solve mine on the fly. I'm sure you'll find something

poplar wood, very light weight

No, it is 18mm. However, it is very light because it is made of poplar wood 👍🙂
