I'm a Gen Z without a lot of friends. I spend a lot of time alone. I live in a small farm town in Michigan. Yet, somehow when I listen to this, I feel so at home. I don't feel lonely anymore. I feel like I'm in Paris on a summer evening. I feel a warmth in my soul and longing with every ounce of my being like I've never felt before. I feel like I've been here in another life, and I don't know how to explain this, but I miss it so much even though I've never had it. It feels like hiraeth. It's a Welsh word that means "longing or nostalgia, an earnest longing or desire, or a sense of regret. The feeling of longing for a home that no longer exists or never was. A deep and irrational bond felt with a time, era, place or person." edit: two years ago i was in the worst mental state of my life. i was severely depressed and suicidal. listening to this kind of music was the only thing that brought me any sort of comfort. i’m happy to report that i’m doing so much better now. i have a supportive friend group, the mental health resources i so desperately needed, and i finally feel some sort of joy again. i appreciate so much all the responses to my comment. they are most of the reason i kept going. so thank you all. i will probably never meet any of you, but know that you all saved my life and for that i am eternally grateful. i am so sorry if any of you still feel that lonely. i know how awful it feels when it feels like the world is totally against you, but you just have to keep going and putting yourself out there. it only gets better with time. to anyone that feels as lonely as i did when i wrote this two years ago, know that you are not alone. you are loved. you are wanted. please keep going. your future self is so grateful, i promise you.

Now I'm a young lad. Gen Z. 19 years old, it's weird to say this but I honestly enjoy playing this music in the background when doing homework. It's such a calming track and keeps me relaxed! In my imagination I am standing outside an Inn where I can hear the music playing inside the lobby. It's a summer evening and I can see the lights of a nearby carnival where the rides are stopped but the people haven't and I can smell a mixture of fresh rain amidst the popcorn and fried foods of the fair. I'm delighted to have time traveled to this moment where I'm standing in awe of the people bustling through the small town enjoying themselves despite the rain. ❤️
I can’t tell you much I love and appreciate your channel! Living alone during the pandemic hasn’t been easy, and I tend to get more anxious at night. Your videos have helped with my anxiety and my insomnia and they’ve been such a comfort. This latest one is beautiful and it makes me a little emotional... one of the last trips I took abroad before covid was to Prague, and the last night I was there, I fell asleep with the window open and it was raining on the cobblestones. This reminds me of the many times i used to rent a tiny rooftop apartment on Montmartre in Paris, the view from the windows and balcony was exactly what can be seen here. Sometimes there was also short rainshowers and muffled music could be heard from the neighbours below.

It makes me feel sad, my heart feels heavy and a overwhelming gut wrenching feeing! Like I have lost or I am missing something from a time when I wasn't alive (at least in my current form). I absolutely love hearing it but my eyes always fill up with tears (mourning feeling). Same with Folk Music (Celtic/Nordic) it's like I have memories that want to come back but I can't remember. These era's of music is imprinted on my soul.

This is my absolute favorite mix to listen to while I write. I typically don't put on music since it distracts me from what I'm doing, which is why I used to listen to No Talking ASMR instead, but for some reason the weather in the background makes this just perfect. And the fact that the music sounds like it's in another room really gets me in the writing zone lol. I just found your channel through youtubes recommending page. This one here is my favourite video, the cats (and the moving tails!!), the rain, the scenery, the traffic sounds in the background and the music!! It’s like one can imagine sitting there in Paris in the rain at a cozy apartment with your pet and just slowly falling asleep.
I lived in Paris and in my street there was a bar that was organising swing parties every Wednesday night. In spring and summer and it was warm enough, I used to open my window and I could here the music playing from the bar. This video reminds me of that. I'm moving back to Paris at the end of the month, i can't wait

(Yes I love the Aristocats) but the Paris part was what truly caught me... as my family is French but I’ve never been there.. but besides that I wanted to just say a big thank you! I struggle with mental illness and chronic nerve pain so sleeping/studying/and even doing daily tasks is a chore. But as a woman who enjoys to dress up vintage and enjoys everything vintage (vintage fashion not vintage values mind you) this truly helps me feel like I’m back in time, that I’m finally “home and safe” Thank you so much for giving me the courage to step out of my funk. i like playing these imagining myself in a warm and dimly lit house, its dark but comforting; not scary at all. i dance around my kitchen as i wait for the kettle so start humming so that i can make some tea. i swirl around in an old dress that i had recently found in my grandparents attic. soon after i make tea i have a seat in my dining room, music still playing from my bedroom just down the hall. i see my neighbours pass by my window carrying their umbrellas, rushing to get out of the pouring weather. i smile and wave at them, as they give a quick wave and swiftly move out of my line of sight. i continue sipping my tea, slightly burning my tongue. once ive finished my tea i light the fire place and start to do some crafts; painting, drawing, glueing, taping... im a mess by the end of the day, but after years of being at a mental war with myself, i finally go to bed happy, with a strong feeling that the fire in which i hated in my self has grown upon me to warm me and i finally realize that everything is okay.
i got a little but carried away with this, and i wouldve kept writing, but in tired and im getting hand cramps from typing! its really fun to write short stories like this, though ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Not to get to deep. I was born in 1996... but for some reason. some reason.... Oldies, music... 30-50s timeframe just does something to my brain. Like i've been here before. I am whole heartedly in belief of a past life at this point.

This reminded me of how my grandparents played music in the other room while I slept. It’s so calming to me now and I always put it on when I can’t sleep.

This is my absolute favorite mix to listen to while I write. I typically don't put on music since it distracts me from what I'm doing, which is why I used to listen to No Talking ASMR instead, but for some reason the weather in the background makes this just perfect. And the fact that the music sounds like it's in another room really gets me in the writing zone lol. I just found your channel through youtubes recommending page. This one here is my favourite video, the cats (and the moving tails!!), the rain, the scenery, the traffic sounds in the background and the music!! It’s like one can imagine sitting there in Paris in the rain at a cozy apartment with your pet and just slowly falling asleep.
I lived in Paris and in my street there was a bar that was organising swing parties every Wednesday night. In spring and summer and it was warm enough, I used to open my window and I could here the music playing from the bar. This video reminds me of that. I'm moving back to Paris at the end of the month, i can't wait

it's been about a year since I found this, and it brings my whole body such a wonderful feeling of warm coziness. The amount of times I've listened to this to fall asleep, calm down, and mostly to study to are beyond my count. It only takes a minute of two for all the strange feelings of warm nostalgia to slowly lull over my mind and body. This is my comfort ASMR hahahaha.
I'm blown away by this! Being a fan of sci-fi, this music resonates with me on a deep level. It's a true masterpiece that transports me to another world and ignites my imagination.

Hi there! I would just like to say that I found you through this video! (Yes I love the Aristocats) but the Paris part was what truly caught me... as my family is French but I’ve never been there.. but besides that I wanted to just say a big thank you! I struggle with mental illness and chronic nerve pain so sleeping/studying/and even doing daily tasks is a chore. But as a woman who enjoys to dress up vintage and enjoys everything vintage (vintage fashion not vintage values mind you) this truly helps me feel like I’m back in time, that I’m finally “home and safe” Thank you so much for giving me the courage to step out of my funk. makes me think of my grandparents, both just recently passed away (3 years ago) a year apart from each other along with my dad in-between, turning 30 this year and am in a strange time in my life, I'm on my own, I've re invigorated my passion for music and can't wait to get it out there, dad, grandpa, grandma, love ya and thank you, your memories and life experience live through me now, time just flys by

i like playing these imagining myself in a warm and dimly lit house, its dark but comforting; not scary at all. i dance around my kitchen as i wait for the kettle so start humming so that i can make some tea. i swirl around in an old dress that i had recently found in my grandparents attic. soon after i make tea i have a seat in my dining room, music still playing from my bedroom just down the hall. i see my neighbours pass by my window carrying their umbrellas, rushing to get out of the pouring weather. i smile and wave at them, as they give a quick wave and swiftly move out of my line of sight. i continue sipping my tea, slightly burning my tongue. once ive finished my tea i light the fire place and start to do some crafts; painting, drawing, glueing, taping... im a mess by the end of the day, but after years of being at a mental war with myself, i finally go to bed happy, with a strong feeling that the fire in which i hated in my self has grown upon me to warm me and i finally realize that everything is okay.
i got a little but carried away with this, and i wouldve kept writing, but in tired and im getting hand cramps from typing! its really fun to write short stories like this, though ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Not to get to deep. I was born in 1996... but for some reason. some reason.... Oldies, music... 30-50s timeframe just does something to my brain. Like i've been here before. I am whole heartedly in belief of a past life at this point.
