All these flashy megaprojects but no housing for average working class people. Goes to show that people will move mountains to build grand luxury buildings but all that enthusiasm is totally gone when it comes to what people actually NEED.
You forgot to mention the 'ecological' , 'sustainable' Forest City project (that was built, oh irony, on vulnerable wetlands) in Malaysia, just off Singapore .. Built by Chinese developer with skyscrapers with luxury apartments, golf courts ets for 700k or may be a million people. Costs over $100 billion, residents 8-9k (who work there at maintaining) . Well maybe in the future people might live there..
