Sam Mitchell joins Jay Onrait to discuss the close contest that could've went either way, the inconsistent officiating in the NBA this season, strong Raptors’ career starts from RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, and LeBron James’ comments saying the Lakers were “just stuck right now.”

Come on man... they gave the lakers 19 free throws in the last 4 min of the game. for the name of everything thats holy this is insane.
10 of those free throws were intentional free throws in the final minute when Toronto was trying to extend the game, 2 were off of a technical foul on the blow to Reddish's face, 2 more from a clear foul on Max Christie when he got the Offensive Rebound when Toronto didn't do the basics of boxing out for the Defensive Rebound. I just pointed out 14 free throws that are no brainer obvious fouls. AD destroyed Toronto without Jakob Pöltl, of course there was going to be a free throw disparity.

These are not questionable calls, these are calls made by officials who showed up in the 4th and figured out ways to win it for the Lakers.
I almost feel like NHL commissioner gave pointers to NBA officials on how to be inconsistent with the calls.

The officials shouldn’t ref another game in the league and should be investigated for tampering… also the media should grow a backbone and not try to act like it was a one off or only a few of the calls were questionable.

Once Darko lost the challenge, it was green light for the refs.. There's more to basketball than actual basketball.. Anthony Davis took advantage fully knowing the refs favored the Lakers by flopping and falling at every contact. Ok Lebron hooked up AD most of the game, good for them, but we had more points in the paint. Darko told Scotty to play through contact regardless of calls.. But the bias from the refs was so obvious. Even if the Raptors played through Siakam more, it was predetermined that they were not getting any foul calls upon physical contact.
Also that one basketball interference was so obvious but Ben Taylor stopped the other ref from review and took the initiative to give 3 free throws instead. Ben Taylor is a conniving refree.. Smh.

This is so so. There was ref bias against raptors. It was evident through alot of net drives. But, the free throws near the end were intentional. It was lopsided. Refs need to start getting fines for bs games because not the first time there was controversy and its not going to be the last
Mitchell is back and forth. Although, he covers mainly the Raptors he's an NBA employee so he can't tell you the truth. IQ gets kicked out with a flagrant, which was obviously a basketball play, meanwhile Siakam gets tackled going to the net and that's a common foul? Davis flops like a soccer player on the French national team and draws a foul. RJ clearly touched the ball, barely, and Davis draws a foul. I've never seen a more blatant display of refs fixing a game in my life.

Don't forget the call in the first half where a player hangs on the rim and they don't count the bucket. I have never seen a more obvious example of basket interference. Did they even learn the rules of basketball? If they watch this check out your handbook!

I understand that this country only covers one team but you have to be less bias as our main source of sports content. It’s created an entire fanbase with no real basketball knowledge and unrealistic expectations
That is always the case when Raptors plays all star Team. The only time Raptors can win with these refs officiating is when they play well and lead a commanding margin. Scottie should learn to let situations go, stop complaining and concentrate on the game. He needs to develop hes basketball Ai and start to act mature in hes game.
