I know a lot of people say Geri and Victoria cannot sing solely based on the fact that they are not the main vocalist. But in all honesty, when they sing alone or in solos, they both have very low soothing beautiful voices. They just don’t have that high voice that is the more popular one. But they do have very relaxing and beautiful baritone voices.
I agree! They can all sing. They have their own strengths and weaknesses. Some people didn't understand then that not everyone in the band will sing in every song. They were not different as other bands out there. There are a lot of other members of bands especially in the boy bands in the 90s like Boyzone, Westlife, 98 degrees etc. who didn't really sing much in their songs but they were not criticized as much as Geri and Victoria. The press really treated them bad at that time. Also, they may not be the Best vocalists out there but that's not really what drew fans to them. It's their friendship, their personalities, their individualities, their boldness and charisma that made them icons

Geri was the spice that was missing during their last couple of years before the split first time around.. every solo she adds something special to a song. it was unfair that she never had a solo in Viva forever, she slayed Goodbye, Let Love…, 2 become 1, and Viva Forever etc. she was never the best singer in the group but that didn’t make her any less important than the other girls.

I still loved Emma's sweet and angelic voice. I liked as well that they performed the album version featuring Mel B's adlib.

Victoria can sing, Gery cant..but its all about chemistry anyway, & its Gery’s personality which boosted them to their stardom.
