What are your thoughts on upgrading to a high volume normal pressure oil pump on the MEL 462?

Great vid! Will help when I do my timing gears on my 60 Lincoln. The teeth on yours all came off. Hopefully you got them outta the pan. What viscosity oil are you using on the Rotella? Hey I dont see links to the parts....Thanks!

Hey that is a factory cam timing gear, all the plastic teeth have fallen off. Pull your oil pan off - all the teeth will be in there and stick in your oil pump pickup

it was quite funny. becasue privious to this i had only seen images of the timing gear with the teeth. so when they were gone all together. i didnt know that they had the metal teeh inside of the plastic like that. just didnt know what to expect. We did clean the oil pan out tho.

When you remove the timing chain cover, did you have the dowel pin intact in your cover? When you installed the cover back on, how did you keep the dowel pin in the cover from falling out?

a thick glop of assembly grease will hold it in place. use some of that. and just dont jar it a round a whole lot when putting it back together.
