We're all a mess with this song. Crying like a baby right now! I've lost my father and brother to cancer and this song hits home so hard. She is such a treasure and deserves all the accolades she gets and then some! She is a once in a lifetime gift I'm so proud to be experiencing! Well done young lady! Well done!

Angelina has said that she wrote the song for anyone who has lost someone, but she was thinking specifically about her grandpa and all the great memories she had with him. She also said that, when she was in the booth recording it, her tears were really flowing.
By the way, I’ve heard the song dozens of times and I still cry every time. When she belts that high note, I feel her pain and it breaks my heart.

FYI, her uncle plays her grandfather here, her little sister plays a younger Angelina. The portraits on the wall are her two grandpa's, both now gone. The sweater and shoes are, of course her grandpa's. The notebook toward the end is where Angelina wrote the original lyrics and has her original artwork used in the lyric video.

Great reaction Jen - Angelina really sharing her innermost feelings with us here, we all cry listening to this one. Angelina had a very strong bond with her maternal grandpa. I have a feeling that each time she looks at the Moon she remembers him, I would guess that whenever they were apart, Angelina could look at the Moon and know that grandpa could see it. The theme occurs in other songs she has loved to sing - Fly me to the Moon, and in her revised lyrics of Back to Black "I'm the one who talks to the Moon". You need to watch her studio version of this song as well!! The studio version hurts your heart so much as well. The studio version is raw Angelina singing her heart out. It was her 1st release after signing with republic records. So there was the emotions from that combined with the emotions of this song. I guess in an interview she had stated she could not stop her tears from flowing. That is apparent. Big changes with being signed and Big emotions sharing such a personal song of loss with the world. My heart hurt for this girl. Feeling her pain and seeing it was so sad. She has a gift ...with any song she has covered or written of conveying such feeling and it gets you so deep into your soul and touches your heart like no other artist can. Ditto on everything already said. Just as an FYI, The picture in the hall is of her grandfather. Additionally, Juliette plays the part of 'young Angelina' in the video. One might otherwise forget that she too had just lost her grandfather. I'm glad that the two sisters were able to share this experience.

Just a beautiful heartfelt reaction Jen to our Angel. She poured her heart and soul into this song she wrote for her beloved Grandpa, (picture on the wall) who passed in 2019. Her other grandpa had passed a few years before. The little girl in the video is Angelina's little sis Juliette and the man portraying Grandpa is her Uncle and Manager Mike. This wonderful video has Angelina's finger prints all over it as she is a pure music genius. The most, sweet, humble, caring human being with an unmatched vocal talent. Ya some of her songs really hit deep. I have both my parents, but my mom is extremely cruel so I cut her off. Its like the nice side of her died anyway.
It was her maternal Grandfather. Angelina's little sister Juliet played young Angelina and her Uncle Michael, played her granddad who was his father. You can see pictures of both of her grand dads who have both passed. The video also shows the original note pad that Angelina used to write the lyrics. At the end she opens the note pad and something like glitter goes off into space.
She has a version of this original in the studio. You need to check that one out. And this is about losing her grandfather in the fall of 2019. Ok that picking up the shirt and unfolding it drove a dagger through my heart.

Also her latest release is called 7th Heaven, which she also wrote, and it's very upbeat and jazzy which shows she's sticking to her roots and developing her own distinct style.

Her Grandfather passed away this she wrote for him as her tribute to him and the love they had. They, her Grandparents, are responsible for who she is vocally. They raised her on all the Jazz Classic. Yiu should listen to her debut on Norway's Got Talent with English subtitles. She was 7 and won at 8.
AGT is actually pretty late for us who discovered her at Norway Got Talent.
