The craziest thing about Dark Paladin is the 500 ATK bonus for every Dragon monsters in the GYs and field. I used it in a (almost) full Dragon deck and it's ATK is always around 6900-8900 which is nice.

It is killing me having to see DD crow, soul drain, or any banishing card such as dark law having to be constantly used to not get annihilated by tearlaments it kills deck creativity and takes room otherwise used to complement the deck
You try to play this game without general support cards like these. After a few duels, you'll realize how genuinely toxic and try hard Yu-Gi-Oh players truly are with the cards available to them. People like to blame Konami, but the players make these combos and play stuff like this. It's a two-way street.

There are players that will exploit these combos and there is no moral, ethical or humane way to solve this problem of 'there will always be people that will do anything they can to win' at least not one I'm aware of. This issue is so strong that you can always expect it to show up if it can. So the best thing to do is to eliminate the options of players exploiting broken combos or at least limit them. Konami is in the position to do so and we are not, we can only voice out those problems, its Konami that can do something about them. In short my point is 'There is no benefit to blaming players for something there is no solution for. But we can blame Konami for encouraging the players to act this way by creating more options for them to pick from, instead of limiting them if not eliminating them'.
Dark Paladin has always been one of my favourite monsters, the nostalgia is unreal for me! See if you can figure out a way to include the Sorcerer of Dark Magic next :)
just a tip, you can chain link 2 your soul servant to dark magical circle to guarantee you draw into a card you want, then you can banish souls for a second draw. really clean play though otherwise love the deck! you are the reason i play DM keep up the good work
Master of Chaos is the newly added Dark Magician fusion monster in Master Duel, not Dark Paladin. Also, Dark Paladin isn't the only fusion Dark Magician that negates. Dark Cavalry does as well. The difference is that Dark Paladin negates spell cards, and Cavalry negates anything that targets a card on the field

I never used Illusion of Chaos like that before. Seemed like a waste of Secrets of Dark Magic. If I wanted negates, I used Magicians Combination instead.

I try to put Dark Paladin in any Dark Magician deck that I can lol. It’s one of my personal favs from when Yugioh first started getting popular back in the day.

I want to see a modern day mako tsunami deck that's better than wut I've come up with using only, in the spirit of mako and his love of the sea: fish, sea serpent and aqua types (with a couple exceptions in the extra deck and obviously legendary fisherman and it's upgrades) especially now since umi got more support from the legendary duelists 9 set and an interesting link 4 in darkwing blast. Even more so now that tearlaments is a thing. IN FACT: I CHALLENGE SAM TO DO IT. Show me wut a competitive deck with these restrictions is capable of outside of wut I have gathered being a 3 card otk. Every video from now to the next 100 times I comment. Just shows how good Tears is. Sam had EVERYTHING for a good DM hand. Maybe only thing that would make it better would have been combination. But tears still played though it and probably had a subpar hand and still challenged. All he needed to do was hit in some of them mills and Sam would have been cooked. But I appreciate the effort. I run DM up till about G2 and then I just don’t have enough turn 2 to compete.
@@sobbles6242 I think he meant dimensional fissure, or having to run a spell or trap that doesn’t mesh with your deck well but you HAVE to run it in order to deal with tearlements.

I wish it was easier to combine the Buster Blader stuff with Dark Magician stuff. But the decks play way too differently. Dark Paladin could really use a retrain too.
I've been trying to balance a decklist to combine this card with the Slifer Revived Sky God engine Getting out Slifer and Dark paladin with a Draw 6 would just be great, especially against Runick
Look for a channel called Atem. He had a dark magician & Slifer combo deck. It doesn't guarantee Slifer every game but its still pretty solid. I've had luck with a variation of it

Sam has almost 750k Subs and his username for everyone to see in MD. As soon as I saw that name, I would stay in that duel, no matter how long it takes to see what Sam is cooking.
The combo is nice and all but I want to see you play against tearlements going 2nd without handtraps cause for me in this tear zero format it is really hard going 2nd without hand traps

We even stopped using eternal souls because it gets popped and stopped using rod as well in duel links. Anime decks in master duel are garbage in duel links they are way better
If I might make a suggestion. I've been using Dark Magician since 2005, if you want to build a negate deck with him add Sorcerer of Dark Magic. Can only be summoned by tributing 2 level 6 or higher Spellcasters. Whenever a trap is activated, you can negate it and destroy it. You may also want to look into Dark Eradicator Warlock. He'll hit your opponent for 1,000 life points when a normal Spell card is resolved.
@@xxzombiekillerxx9549 I like to throw my opponents a curve. No one expects bottomless trap hole anymore, and I always try to play "Secret Village of the Spellcasters". Yeah it sucks if you don't have a spellcaster, but the object is to get Sorcerer of Dark Magic out so odds are you'll have at least a low level high defense one.

That's why Dark Paladin is a Dragon Killer/Slayer in Yu-Gi-Oh. Most Dragon Decks were scared if Dark Paladin plays in the field.

You can use the monster version of timaeus and it does the same you can get dark paladin with it's effect
