    I don’t know why I like Fendt so much. Love seeing them in action. Great video!

    Man I only wish my hay fields were that smooth, the one I just finished was like driving over a ploughed field, damn gophers

    When cutting alfalfa or hay nobody messes around. I wish my mower cut that good and that fast!!🤣😂 Your drone footage always spot on Mike.

      Thanks, As fast as he was mowing it made getting the drone footage a little tougher. If this would have been in my beginner days of flying a drone it may have not turned out as good.

    Great video Mike. I like that tractor--way cool. The speed at which they mow is crazy! I remember a few tractors that couldn't keep 13 mph on the road! Crazy!

    With a 2nd cut alfalfa crop like that drying in that 100 F Oklahoma sun it be mind blowing how many ton of water would be evaporating to have it dry down.

    Wow, he was flying low with that Fendt tractor. Since it has a front mounted pto. A triple mower would have been a great fit for the 🚜

    Lot different mowing speed than when you were a young man, probably only went a couple mile an hour or maybe a little more I would guess Mike, how things have changed. Dave D.

    Before my dad got out of milking, we ran a JD 6410 and HI 5209 at 10 mph in the late 90's early 2000's

    Beautiful Mike, I can almost smell it from here. That should make some great feed. How many cuts a season do they get there?

    I wonder if that hay has made its way to drought stricken West Texas by now?

    Excellent video. I’m wondering if this is the commercial haying operation that I know of near Alva. Hope you got video of them getting the hay up and stored.

    • @farmhandmike
      @farmhandmike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No this is a farm that raises cattle and I’m pretty they feed all their hay

    Ok, used mine and have a question. What is the clearance of the cutter bar and ground. I left 3 to 4 inches of grass.

    The dairy farm had new Holland haybines and later eventually was able to get swing style haybines and had versatile and gehl chopper and gehl silage wagons

    I think they had a versatile 555 and they had 2 of them then later had another versatile but it didn't have a pto not sure of the yr of that tractor or its model number

    Why are they not using a front mowing attachment? Or a butterfly? Would be much more efficent!

    • @farmhandmike
      @farmhandmike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes but a triple mower would be a lot more money and involve having a front 3 point and PTO on the tractor. Depending on how many acres a farm has to mow this is more economical for some operations.

  • @lonniemaynard5226
    @lonniemaynard5226 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    At 13 mph you can cover a lot acres in a day.

    Here's a piece of pretty much worthless trivia that sort of ties in with this video. Several well locations with pumpjacks on them shown. In the early 80's Hesston manufactured pump jacks, the Hesston Sentry. Still see quite a few of them around Oklahoma and Kansas.

    Why would you want a CVT transmission? It sucks unreliable go kart transmission.

      the fendt vario isnt "just" some cvt. they are pretty much as reliable as any other powershift while offering superior choice of gear and smoother acceleration
