I love seeing builds like this. It’s so much easier to relate to someone torch cutting and welding their own brackets, slapping on a set of second hand pro-comps, and only spending big money where you have to. Not to throw any shade at the guys who just make a phone call and drop 50-100k at an engine or chassis shop, because that sure would be nice. It’s just such an unrealistic options for most of us. I can’t wait to see more of this thing. It really inspires me to work on my own junk.

To drill through carpet easily without yarn balling up, use a pencil type soldering iron to melt through the carpet before you drill, it gives you a 'pilot hole' through the carpet, and the 'crust ring' of melted carpet keeps your drill bit from snagging the yarn.

Hey, thank you to you as a Health Care Professional. The human body is complicated; a car is nothing in comparison. Buy yourself a good socket set, a drain pan, an oil filter wrench, a floor jack and at least a pair of nice jack stands. Oh, and lights. Start out by doing your own oil change. Watch a few videos of how to do it, check your oil plug gasket, look for metal glitter in the oil (bad), how to dispose of the old oil. Do NOT prefill your oil filter, because if any grit gets into the clean side of the filter somehow, it will be pumped right into your bearings. Just start it up and let it idle until the oil pressure gauge comes back up, then your car is ready to play.
You can do your own car repairs, and if it's not for you, you'll be able to converse more intelligently with the tech fixing your car. You can do this.

Not too sure about your gearbox mounting through the chassis rail. It's a thin box section that's going to buckle the more you tighten it and it's going to flex the moment you start putting some torque through the box, really needs some anti crush tubes welded in the chassis rail.

Obviously your right but I think your preaching to the deaf and blind. Personally I think every corner is cut on these projects so people will comment and keep watching to see what happens. It's a way to keep your audience.

I have suggested to you before about using a short peice of vacuum tubing to put your plgs in. One it helps you keep from crossthreadinng the plugs and let's you turn them in or out in tight places like you have on that Chevrolet engine. Use a vacuum tubing that holds the top of the plug.

I was so happy to see that video. How sweet that this kitten is loved and cared for by this wonderful family. Happy Halloween 🎃🐈‍⬛️

At least your dad had a tool--my dad didn't know what a tool looked like nor how a motor worked. He thought poorly of a man with tools. Wouldn't you know I am a lifelong gear head and had to learn everything myself with little help. I have a son and he has no interest in anything with a motor. Life makes little sense.
