Manga Box Sets are the best idea ever. I wish other companies apart from Viz would do them too, such as Kodansha for a long series like Fairy Tail or something
thats cause they started releasing Berserk Deluxe volumes. You can check them out, they are beautiful and already 3 vol. are out, and they are planning on around 10 to 13 vol. or something.
I bought my nephew the hardcover Berserk volumes....couludnt get all because they are expensive. BUT, it's turned into a yearly, semi-yearly gift and he loves it. We are closer now because of Anime/Manga. I WISH they made beautiful hardcover Claymore volumes. Teresa is possibly my favorite character ever.

Never read the manga and vaguely remember the anime to be honest but I am a fan of Beserker. Maybe I'll give this a shot sometime soon.
Also if anyone is curious that illustrations booklet is actually a collection of the original cover art for each volume...pretty ballsy if you ask me! Awesome nonetheless though!!!
too bad they dont sell an empty box for the set if you already own the volumes, also my volume 27 came with the binding printed into the cover too but amazon has easy returns
I just finished reading Claymore manga and it is so freakin good. I'm not huge manga reader (beside Claymore,, I have read Slamdunk manga and now I'm reading Berserk, Hajime no ippo, and Hunter x Hunter) but Claymore manga was the one that introduced me to this awesome world of manga. Hey, i'm not him but i'll help you out with my opinion :) Claymore is one of those things that you will absolutely love if you're in the right mood for it. It has a very nice character progression ( something that many series lack) and it's really thrilling to read. For me, every volume had something specific that made me want to read more. Wheter it was the fight scenes in general, or the deeply mysterious plot. About the art, it's honestly up to you. I personally think it has one of the best art style's in any mangas, and i love the facial structures and those lipssssss. But i can see how other people would disagree. 100% worth to get the set if you think you'll have the free time necessary to get into it and enjoy it. If not, and you're looking for something more casual to read, claymore might not really be the best ideea.
I've just started getting into reading manga in the last couple of months and have three box sets so far - the 35th anniversary Akira box set, the Battle Angel Alita box set and the Rosario+Vampire box set with Claymore on the way. Rosario+Vampire is packaged and designed in exactly the same way as Claymore.
Just got my box yesterday 😍❤ so satisfied ! Just alone by starring at the box 🙈 soo pretty and if you havent watch the anime claymore yet, you should definitely watch it soon and if you already are a big fan of berserk, this one wont let you down..i promise 👍🏻

Some of my covers too have off centered labels, and I too find it annoying. Also Priscilla is up there with Griffith and Dio for despicable, hate-able villains, at least from what I remember.

And hey, the manga is bound to be good without the DUB voice acting haha, that kid was something else xd.
Any chance you can check something for me? There seems to be a major issue with volume 24, one of the chapters appears to be swapped, instead of 'Scene 134: Army of the Underworld, Part 2', it has been replaced by 'Scene 152: Silver-Eyed Warriors, Part 3' which is a chapter from volume 27. The chapter that's supposed to be there is missing, I just want to know if this is a problem for everyone or whether it's been corrected or something.

Your in for a read , I still have hope that we will get a 10 part OVA or a BERSERK like retelling / reboot one day. If you love BERSERK you will love CLAYMORE. The Abbysals are as good of villains as the Gods Hand. It really picks up around ch 70 and it's none stop from there pretty much.
If my pocket is willing then I was also going to go in blind to this series considering it is called the female berserk. Being compared to berserk can never be a bad thing and what better way to get into it then by buying the whole series at once haha

Spoiler!!!! The main character...is a Pokemon. And the secondary main character is a Super Saiyan. JK :P It's an amazing series. Many philosophical questions are involved in later stories. Art style is amazing, characters are cool. Enjoy.
They are very alike....with the obvious of villains , setting & characters.....but mostly ,,,,,,Execution is why. I read Claymore since 2007 and Berserk since 2003 , I've seen all animation incarnations of both as well. I even stood in line for hours to see new BERSERK premiere 3 weeks ago at anime expo 2016 and they are almost identical in fact a crossover work very well.
They're both great, but Berserk is still better IMO, I honestly doubt any series will ever beat Berserk for #1, it's literally the greatest manga of all time.

Patrick Fry ah well I don’t think of it as something bad. It’s just a little concept taken from the Witcher and that is them going around slaying monsters and getting paid for it. But in the end it stretches out to its own paths and has many ideas that are theirs originally. It’s just the beginning concept. The Witcher’s series are so big and awesome so of course someone would get inspiration from it but claymore is still nothing compared to the Witcher. That world is just too realistically brutal and unforgiving.
