It's hard to find good tutorials where you can visually see all the steps well, but this video shows every step you need perfectly! Thank you for the tutorial, I will definetly give this a try! :D
Thank you so much for this. Now I've learnt how to do the foundation row I'll never chain again! Helped me teach my 13yo how to make her first hat yesterday and she's already making a second!
My hat kept decreasing the more rows I made and im probably just stupid but i tried to do the exact number of stitchs for each row 😭😭 but this tutorial was AMAZING!! This made it so so easy for me to actually understand what i was doing so thank you so so so much!!
Took about 2.5 hours for me personally, I crochet kind of slow. I used brown and beige, I also alternated colors every 2 rows. It turned out so adorable i recommend this 100 %.
I Don’t have much experience with crochet but this tutorial made it soooo easy for me, I made a red to maroon and beige hat and ended up looking super cute, at the end I putted little buttons as the eyes and nose and I’m amazed with how cute it is!!
i just made two of these hats and one was baby sized for my friend who just had a baby. i loved the way they turned out and i used multicolor yarn so i didnt have to switch colors and it turned out just as pretty! this tutorial was very easy to follow along with thank you so much!!!
Your videos are so user friendly...love that! A friend of mine was just diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer 🥺right at Thanksgiving time here in the US. I want to make her a chemo beanie. She is a cat lover...so this will be perfect! I have already ordered the pink yarn (she is a pink girl)...nice soft alpaca🤗 I will probably add little details to the ears, to make it look more cat like. Going into the winter months, so this will keep her toasty warm. Thanks for a great tutorial. 🤗
aww thank you! So happy you like the video. aaah sending a lot of love to you and your friend 🥺 That's so sweet of you! She will love it! Alpaca would be the perfect yarn for this beanie too! So soft! 🥰🥰
My 12-year-old niece just requested one of these today excellent excellent job on your starting video I learned a new step doing that double crochet right off the bat thank you so much
this was such a good tutorial!!! only took me like 3 hrs (im not the fastest crocheter) and it was very easy to understand exactly what stitch to crochet into which is the main thing i struggle with !!! i love my hat sm :)
Love the hat. I personally do not like the meandering seam tho. I say to make it in a rectangular piece without joining until end. Seam all the way up the side with needle and yarn, and continue all the way across the top. Flip brim, hide ends, and done. (I would also do stitches at each corner making a triangle shape, to make ears more pronounced.) Edit: I tried it my way, yours is better. Who knew? lol
Thank you! Yes! That’s a really good idea too! 😍 Having the seam on the side as I did you don’t really see that much, but yes that would be a good way of doing it and easy too! 💛
Hello I came from your beginner crochet tutorial! I came to this video to see what you taught me in the video in action! Your videos are always soo relaxing and enjoyable. You are one of the best crochet channels I’ve seen so far. I’ve never not understood anything you’ve taught me. Thank you so much! 😄
@@Kayla1hi Hey, no you don't turn around again you keep on going up from that point making sure that you have the 5 first rounds on the reverse and all the other 15 rounds will then be on the right side. I hope this helps! 😍
I really LOVE your lighting setup! I struggle with getting my videos bright enough without my hands looking purple (or seeing every scar known to man). Do you use a camera or phone to shoot your front shots? And do you use a filter to brighten up the video in editing process? I so want to make my production value better. I love it!
Hey, quick question! Do you have any tips or advice for helping me determine how many rows (after the initial 5) I should make so the hat fits well in the end?
I was wondering do you have to use the double stitch? I hold my needle and yarn all in my right hand and it makes it really hard to do. so can I use the single stitch and still get the same results?
At the start of the foundation row the tail of the yarn and the working yarn are at the top of the work, but when it comes to joining them you have the tail at the bottom at one end, with the working yarn at the top of the other. When I get to join mine, both ends the yarn is at the top and the foundation row is not twisted. What have I done wrong?
@@brunaticality thankyou, but I am still a little confused, because in the foundation row tutorial you make a point of catching both the front and back of the bottom loops, but in this hat video it looks like you only go into the front. The bottom of the hat foundation row looks like one strand, but in the tutorial it is a chain loop?
I made it very big. Yes, VERY BIG 😭 it's too loose oh god. I didn't sew it together yet. I absolutely don't want to untie (unloosen? Sorry English is not my first language) it. Is there any tip... or something that can save my big beanie
I really hope you like the video! 💛

The double crochet foundation row just changed my life!!!! Thank you!!!!
I hear you I hate that single chain sometimes
been doing crochet for about 8 years and I never got it but now I do! it really is a life changer!

thank you for your tutorial. it really help me! yay
Hello,I havea question namely at 17:50 should we turn it around again or should we continue as befor ? :)
I mean should we turn it back to the right side because I'm not sure what to do ღ

I'm making it right now
oh that is nice, I hope it turns out wonderful! 😍😍
Thank you very much for the detailed tutorial 💖
Beautiful and nice explanation))
If I use only 1 strand of yarn do I still need to use a 4 mm hook or should I go to a 5mm?
In that case check the yarn label and use the stated hook or any other you prefer ❤️
This was a very good tutorial
Thank you! 💖
How are you so fast? I made a cat beanie too but following another tutorial but in 30 hours aprox
oh, I don't know hahah, I try to make it simple for us! 😍😍
Hey, quick question!
Do you have any tips or advice for helping me determine how many rows (after the initial 5) I should make so the hat fits well in the end?
I just watched the full video and you did answer my question within the video 😂😂😂
Do we have to use two yarns together or is it just cause the burgundy one is thicker? X
I'll make this. I promise
Hi! Love the hat ! Is the yarn a worsted weight ?
Heey, thank you, so happy you liked it! The yarn I have used is a DK/number 3 ♥♥
Can this be done using a multi colored yarn
I was wondering do you have to use the double stitch? I hold my needle and yarn all in my right hand and it makes it really hard to do. so can I use the single stitch and still get the same results?
it’ll just take a little longer since the stitches are smaller but it should be the same result:)
amzng work keep growing👍🏻
Thank you 😍😍

My circle is twisted and I’ve already done several rows idk what to do 😭
Why is the link to the more detailed video on the double foundation row not there?
