I made a spiderman themed red and dark blue hat and it took me way less time than I thought it would!! (5h45min continuously) I'm going to add white web embellishments and then its all done to wear to the new ATSV movie!! Thank you so much for this tutorial
omg you take breaks!! when i crochet like that i get arm cramps and its not recommended to do it that long for anyone without breaks.

Ss with other end to create circle,
chain 3, dc into hole,
continue all the way around,
Ss into the other end , chain one and cut the yarn
Bring in the next color, insert into first stitch and Ss
Chain two
Double crochet all around
Ss into the other end, chain one and cut the yarn
Continue until it’s 9 inches (18 rows)
Single crochet at the top to connect

For a tip also, at the top when you're joining the two sides, I like to hdc 10 on each sides of the beanie to make the ears a bit more pronounced xx

Edit: UPDATE 1: after two failed attempts (and using the wrong-sized hook) I’m finally getting somewhere! I’ve completed around a fifth of the entire thing in the past twenty four hours! Proud of myself as this is my first ever project!
UPDATE 2: after two attempts, I finished it yesterday!! looks amazing and I'm so happy!

@@party_cat772 that’s so interesting, granny squares are also how i learned to crochet and a lot of other people i know. they’re insanely easy, especially if you have as much experience as you do! i definitely recommend!
hey, i think the creator isn't gonna reply so maybe u know it. I'm trying to do this hat and instead of 17 I had to made like 50 so it completely goes around my head. Is there anything wrong? I'm using an other yarn sooo
@@teawithsugar490 if you’re using smaller yarn or a smaller hook, along with probably having a different head size than the creator, then it will take more stitches! just try it on as you go to check if it fits.

I didn’t notice that mine was twisted when I finished the first row of double crochets so I had to start all over again and it twisted again on my next try without me noticing. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Doing this right now. For now, I haven't made any mistakes. Maybe this will be my first crochet project without fails. This beanie will be a gift for my bestie. I'll keep y'all updated on how it turned out.

If you want the line that separates the colors to be more defined and straight, do the same pattern just on the back loops only👍🏽

when making your slipknot make sure to leave a little extra yarn on the end than shown in the video so you can weave in the end easier!!
if anyone made/makes this mistake an easy fix is to work over that short tail on your second row.
it took me a 3 goes to get the double crochet right but when i got it was so easy. love this tutorial.

@@squinkledinkles try going very slow and keep it loose to begin then once you can do it, undo the loose stitches and start again. hope that helps.

just a tip since the loose ends seemed to be bothersome, instead of cutting the yarn to change colours just slipstitch the other colour at the end and keep them both attached
Yes, I always do this too. So much easier instead of weaving in all those tails 😊
I had to sew it up a few times because I have three diff colors and some of the stitches busted but im almost done and so happy with the outcome as of now

I’ve never made a hat before and I’ve never used two different colors on something I crocheted before so this was fun. I used baby pink and navy blue for my hat 😊
If you connect into the top stitch it won't have much of a noticeable seam!

Good tutorial for beginners I had a lot of fun making this. It’s easy for young people (I’m saying this as a 11-15 year old) I have only done the first row so far I’m having a bit of trouble with the second row but I’ll get the hang of it. Any tips to make the second row easier? If so please tell me them it’s hard for me to get the hang of the double crochet stitch. It’s a great tutorial! it’s just me that’s making it hard lol.

I started crocheting not long ago, meaning I’m a beginner. I’ve failed multiple times and took me very long time to get to the 4th row. I’ll update when I finish which will be in months.
Update 31st January: Each row, they get bigger and it’s triggering me ☹️ I’ve been doing how she does it and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’m on my 12th row and I don’t want to restart it.
Update same date: I finished it and It’s actually not pretty bad. I’m really glad that I’m finally finished with this after weeks. 😅
