Growing up, I was jealous of the adults who grew up in the 70s when all-time greats like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin were in their prime. I feel like the next generations are going to look at Tame Impala the same way. I know the world sucks right now, but we need to savor the fact that we're living in an era where Kevin Parker is putting out beautiful, emotional music like this.
"I wanna say it's alright, you're just a man after all. And I know you have demons I got some of my own; think you passed them along" Hits like a ton of bricks
this is such an immensely fucking sad moment of tame impala that I think people overlook. Thinking of him playing this song live all the time with these feelings about it adds even more
yess. absolutely... my father left at 2 years old I never knew him. his other children from a later marriage got a hold of me. I found out he passed on in 2018. supposedly he was riddled with guilt about leaving me the way he did and never reaching out. his other children were completely shocked to find out that I look exactly like him and they don't. they live a few states away. man this song really hits home. this song is absolutely beautiful I listen to it a lot along with other Tame Impala songs but this one gets to me on certain days
Thank you for this loop. Lost my Pops at 19. He was a singer, songwriter & my most prized gift from him is my love of 🎶 in all genres & people from all cultures. He brought musicians home from all parts of the 🌎 to have jam sessions till sunrise. It was magic to the child I was & it still is to the man I am now when I tell my kids about it. The rest of the story involves pain & darkness I'll spare y'all from. 13yrs 2mos & 6 days ago I began to fight my demons & try to break the cycle. But, the 🎶 will echo thru my family tree ♾️
This is so fucking beautifully sad. My own relationship with my father is fine, but I can clearly imagine the emotions I would have if he was gone, all from this song.
My relationship with my father is great but my brother just passed away and this reminds me of him. We had a great a relationship also but I still miss him and these lyrics hit.
It was necessary to make sure that the end of the song was not interrupted, but sounded at the same tempo, as if it were a continuation of the song. Do you know what I mean?

@@benjapizarro981 unpopular opinion, I love their 2017 much more than their 2020-2021 stuff

I guess but this guy started by making music from that era so
