Jesus said what you did unto the least of these you did unto me. What is common to all those he mentioned is suffering. Jesus knew what it meant to suffer, and that moved Him to die for us, so that we would not have to suffer that way. The little taste I had of hell here on this earth through the withdrawal of pharmaceutical drugs that felt like torture beyond what I thought was humanly possible, led me to understand more deeply that we don’t want anyone to experience that for eternity. It also helped me to become more aware of suffering in this world, and millions on the other side of the earth are experiencing crazy suffering that most here in the US cannot even imagine. Jesus died to spare us from eternal suffering and He doesn’t want ANYONE ELSE to suffer eternally either. There is a war for souls everyday and if people would have eyes to see and ears to hear and wake up they would see that we are here to help those who are suffering now, so they won’t suffer now and for eternity. Jesus says he who closes his ears to the cries of the poor will also cry out and not be heard. And when we help those who are suffering now, privileged people who do not recognize their need for Jesus and His salvation will see a lot more clearly what we have and what they don’t, which is the love of Christ that lays down their life for another. The greatest love there is and the most beautiful thing on earth. Have you heard about Charles Mulli? He is a Kingdom Christian whose work is the most fruitful I have ever seen. There is also a documentary called Mully about him. That documentary is the Gospels in action. He is building the Kingdom in Kenya and it is flourishing! More than 30,000 street orphans who were former prostitutes, thieves, murderers, drug addicts who He gave a home, an education, and Christian discipleship to who have grown up to become doctors, lawyers, government workers, engineers, etc who are using their talents to build the Kingdom!! Praise the Lord!!! That documentary and a book about him called Father to the Fatherless has moved me to share my faith and do Kingdom work- far more than any talk or sermon. Watch it and share!
I would disagree that you need a relationship with the person you are sharing the kingdom with. There are too many examples of just the opposite in the bible. In addition, you can make your own tracts of kingdom principles and use them aside conversation with those you hand them to. If you need to get to know everyone you preach to, you will be less fruitful with that as a condition. I heard a complete stranger when they preached to me and accepted it with fear and joy. Besides that, thanks for the teaching.
Good morning, Thanks for that push back. I completely agree that you do not always need a relationship with the person. There are many examples of this when something beautiful happened without having a relationship first. However, I do think building relationships is one really great way of opening the door to deeper conversations. God can work in many ways, whether the relationship has been built already or not.
Beautiful Shawn my friend. That is so beautiful talks and insightful discussion. I miss your company, your beautiful house and family. See you soon.
Thanks for that. I trust it was helpful. Blessings on your journey
